I've been looking for any info on the power out-put of this little gem. I have a DP 1000.2 with no external switches with a Jynxbox V2 (not enough power) a dead SV8000HD which was connected to Port1 supplying the needed power to run both receivers. Needless to say I need an additional HD receiver that can power my dish without the need to buy a DPP44 switch for just the power inserter. I know I can use an old Dish receiver and use that to power the dish but I dont want to lose an open port because I might pick up third receiver in the near future. I'm trying to avoid the whole external switch nightmares too many people come across.

I looked in the users manual and did not find any info on the output for LNB's. I think I have seen soewhere that it has a 500ma output. Perhaps someone who uses your dish will see this and reply.
I had ane of those dishes but when I added a standard dish for 82+91 I could not get them to work together so I got rid of the DP dish and now use a 36in with three LNB's for 119, 110, 129. So at least it drives my 5 LNB's and switches just fine without need for a second receiver.

You need a power inserter for any FTA receiver when using that type of dish. The inserter will change the voltage output so that it doesn't fry your receiver.

I have used a first generation dreamlink hd stb with the 1000.2 ....it worked fine...no idea if the newer versions are different

the length of rg6 from stb to dish was about 30 feet

I have a short 40ft run, maybe I will pick up a dreamlinkHD and test it myself. Thanks for the feedback.

I am using a dl on a 1000.2 dish. You can set the power at 13 or 18.I set mine on 18 and has been running flawless for a year.No s/w or other rec used just Dl.

Have you ever considered a $15 DP-44 power inserter , works for me.

I have read the power out put is not enough....a DPP44 can help solve that or adding another receiver to a separate line on the LNB. and leaving it turned on to help power them will work.

Will this work or will they only receive half of the sats' channels?
