My Project Setup.

So I have been doing some research on the various types of install and I have been all over the forums and no one has come accross doing this type of install using embedded switches. Obviously the setup in the picture can be done with 2 DPP44 switches and power inserters on port 1 hence disabling the internal switching and then some sort of other switch to join the BEV and DN.

Now the newest LNB's used by each provider are shown in the diagram. They are Dish Pro plus Lnbs there are older types of LNB's used such as dishpro LNBs for sats 110/119/118.7/129 but they have no switch and require external DPP44 switches.

**Using no DPP44** If we were able to successfully power the internal LNB switches somehow we obtain an install without DPP44 for up to perhaps 2 receivers with both signals (unless we switch to the DPP Plus Quad for BEV then the limiting factor then becomes the Dish network DPP Lnb and we can get up to 3 receivers.)

So how would you do it? and what switch would be best to combine the signals to the FTA Receiver and what would you do for the lack of power of fta hence why some sort of power inserter must be used in order to power the internal switches of the lnbs...

Question:
So how would you do it? and what switch would be best to combine the signals to the FTA Receiver Are you going to be using the receiver depicted in your photo ?

First question that comes to mind is the receiver mA output to be used - if high enough for the lnbs used a dpp44 might not be necessary , a sw21 or 22khz ecode might suffice to join the 2 lnbs.

yes exactly my setup and my receiver. there is no dpp44 in my setup.. when you say join the 2 lnbs I suppose you are referring to joining the two outputs of each system to the receiver.

edit : btw editing ones post after it has been answered to is not really done ;) good luck.

cnx mini in fact has iks server capabilities once emulated with a computer using serial port. Tested and working great for the iks part :)

You might find it hard to believe but I was aware of that fact - happen to have one of those in my stable .

Like I said - good luck.

Thanks anyways :)

I added the blue part to give some clarification so its clear so people who read fast see it better :) sometimes not everyone has time to read a full post but the same questions has been put in the picture since the beginning.

...... not to mention that it makes the op appear that they're really on the ball while at the same time giving the impression that the person that answered isn't reading what was posted or is out in left field ;)

The SW21 would not work but the 22khz would work...The SW21 would interfere with the lnb settings.

would that still be the situation if two switches of dpp44 was used?
