anyone know where the key for kaspersky antivirus is located ? I have a proper copy of it for three PC's and I cant find my disk and number. I know there is a file somewhere that I can copy and paste to my new pc . help please .

That information would be in your registry - probably encrypted . If your copy is legit than contact Kaspersky .

Its been a LONG while since I used a Kaspersky key but as I remember it was in the program itself. There is a section for 'installing' a key. As long as you have the proper extension on it...and I can't remember what it was but I think its actually labeled .KEY extension. Then you simply open up Kaspersky and there should be a license area in the program itself you'll need to browse to where you have the .KEY and install it and it will override the trial key if that is what its running on.

Now remember this is how I remember it working....so if its changed in the last few years then this method will not work.

Kaspersky changed their licensing scheme with every new release - hackers at their heels. Too bad that our rules don't allow this type of discussion. :no:

You can try searching your registry for kaspersky but i think you might be out of luck. If you registered your product with kaspersky they will give you a new key.

I got. at sometime I must have registered it and forgot about it, all the info I needed was at the kaspersky site. thank you to all that helped me.
