Totally A Newbie

Hi,
My apology to begin with, im planning to buy and install this receiver but no idea on how to connect to the server that kind of staff, during the bev/dn days (no server needed) I can set everything with problem from the dish to the receiver, but with the server no idea, can somebody help this poor guy(me)
