Hi guys this is my first post . As you may know, the new Jynxbox HD Ultra V3 is just the same V2 but with the usb wifi adapter included.

If you have the old V1/V2, you still can buy the Jynxbox usb wifi adapter for $30 or you can buy the same adapter on the "bay" for for $5~7 bucks. Just search for USB mini wifi adapter, the one that I bought have a Ralink RT5370 chipset and it looks the same as the Jynxbox. As far as I know, this model is also compatible with other FTA receivers (openbox, dreambox etc). It's cheaper than any wifi bridge adapter (like the vonets), just remember, you need to install the last firmware available (V239) and if you buy it from the bay, select US Only in order to get it faster (got mine in two days).

I'm using it now without any problem ;)

Please don't ask me which seller, just check the photo to have a reference, I just saw that few models don't have the external antenna, I'm sure they will work the same as long they have the RT5370 chipset but I will always prefer the model with the external antenna

I bought that one to but from other seller, same item but cheaper (I paid $6.60). You can get the it for $4.99 if you buy the version without antenna, just make sure that has a Ralink RT5370 chipset and is from an US seller (in order to get it faster)

I just bought one of these, can it be installed inside the unit? what i mean is the receiver has a little cut out hole and says wifi, or do we just plug it in the USB port? If can be installed from inside I would prefer to learn how. ON a side note, can one of these be used on a Kbox?

Thanks for joining satfix just to make this informative post.... I would just like to correct you on the statement I have highlighted in red. This wifi adapter is not compatible with other receivers like the ones mentioned. The only other receiver that it's compatible with is the linkbox.

The reason they are compatible with these two boxes is because the drivers are included in the bins. If there are no drivers installed in the box it will not work...

and at the connection end is it via USB or can we hook it up to the little wifi hole on the back of the box by I guess removing the housing of the receiver?

It's a usb adapter, you plug it into your usb port..

You may have to re-initiate the connection, if there is no traffic it may time out...
Just go into the wifi manager and restart the connection or, just leave it on a channel...
I found it times out on the one I have thats far away from my AP but the one that's closer never times out.

Sometimes you may have to reboot the receiver .

I just found them to be a royal pain!! With their timing out and burning out and of course not even connecting with the receiver, use powerline adapters, they are more reliable!!
