My friend has an SV 360P and we are try to get the Hd working, can anyone Help? It has been formatted to to FAT 32.

You won't get HD with a SV360P, that is not a HD BOX.

Did I post this in the HD forum? I know I won't get HD! This not an HD receiver. Anyone know how to help me get an external Hard drive working on a SV 360P?

What type pf drive and how large is it ?
What happens that you need help ?
You plug it in and it's not seen by the box ? Have you tried the format tool in the usb menu ?
Need a bit more input to help....

This is all I know about it, it is a WD 1 TB external HD, that we need to get working for the SV 360P, when it get's plugged into usb port, it say's on screen something about DOS, I have it here now with the receiver, but when we were trying to get it to work at his place, I don't think the format option was there in the menu.

The HD is not formatted for use with the box. That's what the Dos error is all about.
Use "Swiss Knife" to format the drive from your computer and you should be good to go.
A free or cracked version should be easily found with a Google search.It might even be here in the computer software section.

So I have to run it on my comp. then format the WD drive from my comp. right? This is a version 3, is this the right file?

Load the program into your computer and hook up your HD through the usb port on your computer too.
Not sure of the version number.
Any will do a simple format for you.
Format the drive to FAT32.

Don't get any option to format to fat 32, I figured out how to format with the Swiss Knife app and tried it, connected it back to rec., and tried to record 5 min. of a program and it didn't record, plugged it into rear of rec., and go the rec to initialize for HD , and it still say's should be formatted to dos.
