I was messing around with my Limesat HD Air last night because I couldn't get anything to come in and everyone else was fine. I know, I shouldn't have played around. I don't know what setting I changed, but my issue is connecting to the server. Before when I would go into Network Settings the IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gateway would have numbers in it and the DNS1 and DNS2 were all zeros. Now, there are numbers beside all of those settings. I went into Static and changed the DNS1 and DNS2 to all zeros, then changed it to DHCP got it to save with zeros in the DNS1 and DNS2, got it to connect to the server, but then the zeros revert back to numbers. I can't get any channels to come in. Anyone know what setting I possibly messed up? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Should also mention that I'm showing Connection OK and that my code is good until the 27th. Thanks!

Can anyone tell me whether they have zeros or numbers beside their DNS1 and DNS2 in the Network Settings, please?

Change back to DHCP and try putting your server info in another slot, then reboot everything.

All the DNS is, is a Domain Name Server that takes the hXXp://satfix.net and converts it to an IP address, like 123.123.123.123.
There are many generic DNS addresses one like 208.67.222.222 or 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4

Nevermind....it was the provider I guess, because I just signed up with another provider and its working fine. Funny that the only way I could get it to connect to that server was if I changed the DNS numbers all to zero....but it still wouldn't work once connected. Thanks all

I'm glad you got it going but if you were trying dn then it wasn't the service otherwise there would be quite a few people talking about it.

Sometimes its hard to tell when no is responding to your issue. Usually, I just search for answers on my own and only post when I can't find them....or if I'm trying to help someone else. Thank you to all who tried to help me.
