How do you do a re scan on a DL

Only had my DL HD for a little over two weeks now.

Just got a question since I was so used to my previous SV 360 premier receiver.

When you do a re scan of the sats you are pointed at, how do you do them?
Will my server information get deleted?
If someone can provide me with a link I may have missed or steps to do a rescan on this receiver, please let me know.

No, the server data is not going to be removed.

go to menu,configuration,system recovery,click on delete all channels then recan your sats. do not click on factory set.........

Like dishuser said, all you need to do is select the sat and hit rescan and it will rescan and simply copy over the existing channels and add any new channels that are scanned in. There is no need to delete a sat and then re-set it up and then scan
