I'm trying to build a longer DB9 null cable between my computer & my satellite box
useing a db9 to rj45 adapter at each end and network cable in between
Question any one know where i conect wires on db9 to rj45 adapter at each end
and what type of network cable do i use
useing adapters because no soldering
did see another post 2011
but i think that was soldering hookup

If these are like the ones you are referring to pin out one end straight and cross pins 2 and 3 on the other.

Use a cat5 cable.. so im assuming you already have the db9 - rj45 null in which case you just need a cat5 cable to run from your receiver to your router or modem... The db9 is suppose to be female because whats on the receiver is male18191
