are they ever going to fix the freezing, it has been 5 plus weeks now. The last couple days in the mornings are good but approaching noon it starts to freeze and gets worse as the day goes by.

Actually, freezing has gotten worse over the past week. Even in the absence of an ECM, freezing persists. I am running two different ports and same issue on both.

Yes mine is freezing all the time too. Mostly 100's and 200's. upper 300 and Ppv work pretty good though. This has been going on for a good month now. And no it's not because of something in my end, been in this game for for 10+ years.

Yes, I've also seen much more freezing since I renewed in Feb. I was thinking it was the new port I was on but after reading the above it doesn't appear to be the problem. I was on the NFPS support site - F.Z.A. and saw a post about how they bring the channels back after ECM's. Their servers try and prioritize requests for channel keys. For example, if 100 people are watching ESPN, the system gives that channel the highest priority in keeping the keys current. If there are only a few requests for SYFY, the servers don't give it much priority and the keys get updated less often and we get freezing. Its been almost two weeks since the last ECM and the claim they've recovered most of the channels so, based on the troubles they've had with servers, all the IP and port changes, I have to guess that they simply don't have the server capacity to handle all the "subscribers" requests for channels any more. Either they have a lot more "members" than last year or they don't have as much computer power as they used to. Just my thoughts....

if thats the case how come before they changed their servers (approx 6 weeks ago) when they had an ECM, in about an hour or 2 it was back up on all channels no freezing, not saying there wasn't any freezing then, just very, very minimal here and there 67 months back, now we, as other members said, 300 are good, but all the other channels suffer freezing ?

If it is the case that they programmed it to be priority active and thats a crock, I bet there are more people watching SyFy than the others and it is still freezing, for freeze free you have to watch the 300's and they don't freeze until the last 5 minutes of the movie...lol

same here. Either down or freezing every other minutes on 16010. Happens everyday since made donation on mar 1st. Wonder is this the norm with NFPS. Didn't have these problems in those days when it was free. Thats speak volume about value for your money with NFPS. Please look into the problem asap or announce this is the norm. Its get very annoying

I think your confusing 'server' with 'port'... NFPS assigns you a port. A different server would be other than NFPS.

BTW... in NFPS you can change your port assignment now.

I am pretty sure he wasn't talking about NFPS specifically but free DN on the whole. After D*S and the suck-in a lot of card programmers did (I know of one guy is still in hiding from the biker gang). DN was free for a long time until limejapan (is that the name?) and they flew the coop after a lot of people bought their units (Limesat), then some one said we can make money on this so NFPS and all the others were created so we buy (and I gotta say at a great price) a sub from them. My biggest complaint and I can bet it is for most people, when it was free no freeze and no down or very very little that I can't remember it, and now, OK, ECM's we have to deal with, but the Freezing ?? OK now it's Friday and I will be waiting for the hit....lol

Sometimes it really depends on the individual channel. Could have mega freezing on one channel and then watch another with zero freezing.

now you know why there are no ecm,s freezing so bad not worth watching ,,,job done,no matter the server,if there is one out there i would like to know about,,,,does any on know were the ip address goes on a phoenix,nfusion,i see a menu option under proxy connection,my is off,says proxy server ip and under that is proxy server port,of which you cannot add a 4 didget code,so you leave the server address blank in the new cam menu and the server port full,does this help with freezing????

The stand-alone bin days those were called. When you didn't have to worry about if a subbed IKS card could get a channel, you could just decrypt the CW for anything cause your box knew the algorithm. No blackouts, all foreigns, all SD/HD PPVs, and your locals without bunny ears. Those days were grand for my neighbor, I just watch static on my TV.

We really need a N3 hack to fix Charlie up with these Thursday ECMs. Don't even release it to the public just let proper IKS operators run it. That would really stick it to evil old Charlie. That would send them back to the lab thinking of ways to ECM us poor testers :laughat:

At a minimum of couple a hundred thousand dimes a day(20,000) Times that 365 for a year (7.3 mil).. Plus the 25000 members they zipped for 20 bucks or more...Some countries don't have that much income.

Nanosats in general have been problematic for freezing lately.
Nanosat users should go get some good advice to minimize freezing at the nanosat section.

it is very very clear that you have no clue....dishuser's post was honest and accurate

1/ your freezing problems are mostly on your end..... and NOT the server most of the time.....focus on your end
2/ rebooting modem, router, stb can at times fix freezing and or connection issues.....it is NOT a load of crap
3/ using an oem ird and client software allows the user more adjustment which means greater control.....nothing to do with DN.....and not a load of crap

because you have bad info....you are of no use helping others....and because of your poor attitude in your posts it is not likely anyone will want to help you

many people are experiencing freezing, when you go to other sites there is a lot of complaints, most of my channels (that I watch) are pretty good, a few are still freezing but not bad.............

It is up to you to do some reading on how to optimize what you are in control of for your net set up.;)
I suggest doing some homework regarding your situation and ask for some tips.
