Starchoice lnbs don't work with fta stbs .

They do... They're just standard linear LNBs. Nothing special about them.

No - satchick is correct , the sc lnb will work with a linear satellite ( missed that in your first post) . You can connect it to the available port on your switch.

I agree. *choice lnb are for ku band. set it to 10750 and will work for 97w & 101w. It did work for me at one point in time.

Thanks guys , try harder this afternoon to get that bird but still cant get it, its too hard, I got 99% signal but quality is 5%. I trried 2 lnb one original starchoice and the the other one is Linear lnb the shape is like the DTV dish so i can insert it it the arm of superdish and starchoice dish. i already have 8291 110119118 and 129 those are easy for me, But that 97 that was really challenge. i use star choice 60e also use modified superdish large elliptical dish i dont want to go larger coz its too bog for me I only need one channel on that bird. Thanks for all the support.

you might need a 75cm to get 97.......
the new xku lnbs wont work with fta but the old quads and dual stacked stuff works well.........

The *choice lnbs that are combos have an internal 22Khz switch in them so you may need to set that to get it to work.
Happy Testing!!!
