82 Issue with Dreamlink

Hey Guys.

I have just upgraded from a KBOX to a Dreamlink HD from LeeSatt, BTW awesome place! Used the guide from here to setup, all works well, 91, 110, 119. However 82 nothing at all, cant sat lock, scans nothing. tried all different LNB settings etc, again all other 3 sats are fine. on the KBOX 82 was ok (only scanned the SD channels though.). Am i doing something wrong? Thanks in advance guys.

Is the SK 200 installed??

I am assuming so, supposedly it came with it pre installed from LeeSatt, I get 5-10 HD channels on 110, or 119, so it must be right?. but remembering i am not even picking up any sd channels on 82 either.

Is the 82 lnb switched on?? Powering up 4 lnb's on a dreamlink is a bit much for the power supply.. Could also be a dead lnb.Or a bad switch setup..

yes, but works on the Kbox. i could try turning off another lnb power to try. Also the weather was terrible last night, however all 3 other sats were coming in ok, grrrrr.

Check the antenna set up for that lnb.. It may be the wrong type..

You know that the footprint for nimiq4 is a lot smaller than nimiq2. It is no longer reaching the mid and southern US.

im assuming it wouldnt effect me? i had it pointed at nimiq 2, in central canada

After further research i only get a few HD channels from either 110, and 119. looking at lyngsat, it seems these are only the 8psk hd channels. so it seems i cant scan any turbo 8psk channels. hopefully this help someone figure out my issue.

edit tps and change it from dvb to turbo8psk...not sure what exactly for dreamlink...but i changed mine to turbo8 on my viewsat and getting signal on all....

remlab shouldn't have to do this as the Dreamlink should automatically detect the 8PSK and work accordingly. Having said that, it doesn't hurt to try.

So in a nutshell, all SD channels pickup, I only receive HD channels that are 8psk. the Turbo 8PSK channels will not scan on 110, 119. And Nimiq 4 as a whole scans nothing and i receive "unknown service" or something to that nature.

I think I should reset and start again. lol. grrrr, hopefully the board is ok.

Did a full reset, started again, now all works!
