Just bought a new NFHD (not Nuvenio NFHD like old one) old one quit working last week. Does anyone know if the new NFusionHD needs a 8spk board installed or are they built in now? I tried it with my old board, and it showed nothing right from start-up, so I took it out and I can see all of the set-up screens now. I set everything identical to my Nuvenio Nfusion HD settings and I get a black screen saying connected but no picture. Noi also says connected ( with the count down) and has green numbers for channels saying they are working. So why no picture? Please HELP...

confusing post you have here.
old and new...they are the SAME STB.
the old one has a louder fan and brighter blue light and that's it.
2010 or earlier i believe if that's what you mean by "new".
so you ask???
if the "new" box takes a hd board or is it built in.
then you say you installed your board from the gen1 box.
you answered your own question.
both boxes take the same psk900 with 2 ribbons and the rear coax loop.
you need to set your network setting the same as your old box.
more info please...
and if your old box had the blue light only problem then you could have fixed that for like 2 bucks.

Okay my old box - Nuvenio NFHD
Newest box is a - NfusionHD, As far as I know Same box different name.
Without 8spk board installed I can see my - guide, Installations, network, channel info.
With 8spk board installed I get absolutely nothing. It's like there is nothing plugged into my TV. Why.
As I have said all of my settings are set identical to my old box, so why no picture?

the module should have no affect on if you have a picture or not.
so are you removing the module or just removing the loop cable on the rear to get a picture on the tv?
are you sure the loop cable on rear is connected to the (UHF remote antenna) and then to the (IF out).
also these boxes on some tv's don't like the hdmi being used.
maybe try the 5 cables..r/g/b/r/w component? i think it is.

Thanks. RGB has gotten the screens back on (installation etc.) but still no picture. I will keep messing around with it till I get it. Have tried everything I can think of but I wil go back to square one again. Thanks again for the suggestion.

do you get ch. 101 and 9421?
you should...those are unencrypted.

no pic is a deceiving/multi meaning description.
no premium channels or black screen???
with the limited info you have given i suggest running wizard again and setting network on nfhd to static and adding wizard info.

Here is my box set-up copied from Nuvenio Nfusion HD.
IP -xxx.xxx.xxx.066
Subnet - 255.255.255.000
Gateway - xxx.xxx.xxxx067
dns - xxx.xxx.xxx.254
Why would the settings not be the same?
I do get channel 9421

ok i take it your running noi?
if so put your ps info in main settings and save.
if box in advanced is checked...uncheck it.
then click start.
do you have snow?
do you have server1 in green?
do you have channel in green or red?
you have to be on a working channel say 200 to check this.

just an fyi
i do not have a clue about networking.
some guys around here have that sheet memorized..i don't
wizard has always worked for most.

are you running 27 file and you check that box in wizard?

mack2u
05-02-2013, 06:47 PM
Did what you said: Now snow, server in green, channel in red. But I do not have channel 200 in my guide, is there another channel for now?

yappapi
05-02-2013, 06:50 PM
dude server in green means your settings are correct.
try 342... 110...hell just poke around.
what p$ you using?

and ch. 9421 working means your psk900 is working.

mack2u
05-02-2013, 06:55 PM
I have tried all channels and nothing.
Using Beavertv. When I open NOI and check advanced it shows server green and channel green but still nothing.

yappapi
05-02-2013, 07:02 PM
you using south provider and file 27?

if so load the newest channel file.
be aware that you may have to change lnb/antenna settings afterwords and you will have to set network to static again and enter wizard info.

being a new old stock box your TP's are all jacked around.
with the channel file it's plug and play.
you don't have to rescan or anything except what i said above.

and being Thursday this may be a bad time to set up a box if you know what i mean.

mack2u

Using North and South - file 25F

yappapi
05-02-2013, 07:12 PM
ok no channel list for you then.
only south 27 has a channel list.
your TP's are wacky being a virgin box and never updated.
your north will be really messed up on 82.
green and green using means you have a picture.
are you checking north or south channels by the way?
do you have both north and south service?

mack2u
05-02-2013, 07:14 PM
I have been checking both north and south channels and yes I do have a service for both.

yappapi
05-02-2013, 07:16 PM
so when you go from south to north channels noi changes also from side to side and you have green green?

do you have emul off in settings?

mack2u
05-02-2013, 07:20 PM
Yes and Yes. They change and they are green. By the way thanks.

yappapi
05-02-2013, 07:24 PM
emul is off in settings?

if it is then i would contact reseller and have them check your info(just in case) even though it is connecting.
then i would go to lyngsat website and fix your TP's and SR.
it will be time consuming but it has to be done.

mack2u
05-02-2013, 07:29 PM
Already sent off to reseller. I will go through TP's and will let you know this evening. Thanks

you could try file r24 which uses the same ip's for r25, for whatever reason some nfusion HD's do not work with r25, well at least not bevy but dn should work with either r24 or r25, worth a try seeing you almost got it

mack2u
05-03-2013, 03:46 AM
Still no picture. Here is what my original settings were on old NFHD which I just unplugged and installed current NFHD.
IP - xxx.xxx.xxx.066
mask - 255.255.255.0
gate - xxx.xxx.xxx.067
dns - xxx.xxx.xxx.254

here is what wizard say to set to:
ipxxx.xxx.xxx.020
mask - 255.255.255.0
gate - xxx.xxx.xxx.067
dns - xxx.xxx.xxx.067

Nothing works, why? NOI says Connected and channel is also green
Receiver says connected ( scrambled ).
Which one should I use?
Help Please

Have you tried the Testing Wizard to see if your computer is seeing the Nfusion. This is a separate Wizard from the Setup Wizard

Everything passes except looking for, channel data

bobby

if your using noi you could try the iks4suns program instead and see if you have better luck connecting with that...

iks4suns Ver 1.65... http://www.satfix.net/showthread.php?132324-IKS4SUNS-Ver-1-65&p=946217#post946217

Do you have both your computer and Nfusion connected to the internet?

Thanks to everyone who helped.

I just found this post and it's very interesting, I've been battling the same problem as you had. All non encrypted channels are working fine but encrypted channels are not. Noi is connected to server and channels show up in green in Noi with countdown, receiver says connected but channels still scrambled. I could have sworn I tried this on my laptop and desktop but I guess the problem could be related to a program or file I have installed on both computers.

I happen to have a pc with a fresh install of windows xp on it, I'm going to give this another shot tonight using that pc. It's just such an odd problem that very few people seem to have, this is the first time i've actually come across something helpful while searching for a solution to this problem.

I will also try the testing wizard to see if it gives me the channel data error, which is what I suspect caused your problems.

Doesn't the PC need to have dot net installed?

what file are you using on the NFusion HD. I never had success with 24f but 25 & 27 both work
