Hi Guys need some help, do you need to download the factory file if there is third party software in the box? If i want just fta in galaxy 97 west in my reciever?

yes friend you still need to load the factory file for true fta channels,you just need to load the viewsat ultra-factory file version 146-from march 2009....

The sw in the box now will do just fine on 97.

whats the significance of doing that?friend on some boxes you still need to download the regular factory file,because it doesn,t come installed even for true fta channels like galaxy 19 at 97.w,and you need at least a 30 to 39 inch dish and linear lnb,but i would recomend a 33 to 39 inch for better signal and quality and on that sat theres a couple of weak tp,s thats why the bigger the dish the better,good luck friend....
