Needing Advice

I just purchased a Jynxbox HD V2 & it arrived . I have never used FTA before so am looking for someone to point me to step by step how to connect this box up & get it running . I have two dishes pointing at 110 & 119 and have purchased a yearly south code . Will need instructions that a dummy can follow . Any help will be appreciated .

Now I'm stuck again , loaded factory bin & want to do a factory reset before loading the V239 dual bin . Got as far as it is asking for input password . Remote will not put in numbers . Can someone tell me how I get pass this and on to the next step .

Why did you load the factory file??? No need. All you had to do was load 239.

Make sure you hit the stb(top right I think) button on remote and enter 0000 for pass. Don't understand why you need a pass either as you are only prompted for it when you want to go into server settings.
Follow set up instructions in the guides section. There are 2 sets. Use the set up for file 237.

I loaded the factory bin because when I tried to load the V239_dual bin I would get the message ; Select File Large Than Slave Chunk Size.
Was told to load the factory bin which I did , was then told to factory reset which is where I am at now ; then load the V239 & do another factory reset , then start setting up channels .
I have never had a FTA before so am running blind here on knowledge & tip toeing along . lol

You should have not got that message if you were using a flash drive and the setting was upgrade mode firmware.

I most likely got it because I didn't use a flash drive , I loaded off my desktop because when I first connected the box , it wouldn't show anything on TV screen so I used the desktop to flash the box . When I get by this step , I'll use flash drive to upgrade . Thanks for bearing with me . A way to go yet I think .

Really screwed up now . Box is just showing no ch & screen is rolling with black & white favorite groups . Remote wont do anything . Need to get back to menu screen , is this possible or have I screwed this thing up . Even tried reloading from computer but that doesn't bring it back to showing menu . Boy I thought setting up a IRD for IKS was tough but its childs play compared to this . Hate to be bothering & being so stupid but I bought this box & must get it going . I need help . If I could back to menue screen I could then use flash drive to update to 239 I think .

You may think the remote is not responding because you can't see what is going on.

you are in PAL mode, you need to be in NTSC mode, the no CH is because you have no CHs after the factory reset so you need to rescan.

Don't worry your not SOL here....

When your on the factory file if you hit default it will go to the highest resolution possible. If your not using a 1080p tv you'll get an unsupported resolution mode or mode not supported..
Some times you can get in with the RCA cables other times you will have to do the fix blind by following the directions Anubis posted to a tee..

I had this issue when I first tested this on a 720p tv, Anibus actually walked me through his menu by saying left right etc and it finally worked... I saved the directions because I knew this would happen again to someone.

This isn't an issue once you get a third party file loaded because you can use the aspect button to change but not on the factory file..

Still making progress , thanks guy's . Can someone point me to a copy of PSKeyMaker that I can download . Using google , I find lots but they wont let me download . I have registed @ two of them to try & download but haven't received e-mail back for acivation as yet . Its not that early in the morning . lol Is there a site that lets you download this program without a hassle???????
I'll throw in another question , I have updated to 239 OK & set TV resolution to work on my TV . Do I do a factory reset new before proceeding on to using PSKeymaker ??

OK guys , I'm close & believe this is my last problem . I am getting connection failed . I am hard wired at present to router & have entered all the info into the server settings but still can't get it to connect . Must be missing something along the way . Need someone to advise me getting over this hump . I've tried all the different settings but still missing something .

might be obvious but did you turn the server "on" and than try to connect?, double check your server info is inputted exact

Go back over all your ps info something is wrong keep checking and you will find it,even ckeck your code!

Yep , I have gone back several times & can't see where I gone wrong . Even went & had my code rechecked by provider & it's active & OK . Problem is on my end somewhere . Really fishing now . When the box arrived , that little black plug for the SPDIF hole in the back of the box was loose in package & appeared to have a small probe broken off it . Could this black plug having a piece broke off it be the problem . Looks like it may be a switch activator when in place . Just what is SPDIF & what does it do ??
As said , really fishing now. Really frustrated so going to walk away for a few hours .

Update - Have given up on this box , would never let me update from USB , sending it back for replacement - will be starting anew when replacement box arrives . Hopefully I will get along better second time around . Anyway , thanks for all the help , it's appreciated .

I have used the key maker and it seem to me that it will insert a space either in the beginning or end of a string. Try line by line and delete the line in the receiver and then insert it again directly into the receiver. That way works best for me. Hope you get it this try.

OK guy's I'm back again using the new replacment box . I have it working somewhat . Having trouble with dish settings just can't seem to get them right . My set up is two dishes (older type dish& bev used) connected to a sw44 4X1 switch . Have dish 1 (119) connected to dish 1 on switch , dish 2 (110) connected to dish 2 on switch . Cable coming in house connected to out on switch .
When I go into dish settings & set up 119 all seems OK , it shows 119 on top of dish server screen . Then I shift to 110 & set it up and it shows 110 on top of server screen which I believe is correct . When I go back to 119 , the top of server screen is shifted to show 110 and not 119 like it should be . When I try channel 101 it shows no signal , channel 9421 will show free channel like its suppose to do & I get different channels on TV as well . I've tried shifting these settings every which way & can't seem to find what I am doing wrong . In instructions it say's to save some of thes settings but I don't see a save button ? Can anyone shed some light on where I'm going astray .

Once you have scanned your sat exit out and then it saves then go back into menu and scan other sat and exit out. Once you have done that hit the sat button then highlight show all sats then press the ok button. Exit out and try 101 again.

Not solving problem , still telling me the channel 101 doesn't exist . I appears as if I'm not getting any channels or signal off 119 when in dish settings its showing a good siginal . Got to be something I'm doing as when on IKS CNN with this same setup other than using a sw21 instead of sw44 was the strongest channel we had . Could bring in regardless of weather when others faded out due to signal . Just don't know . Appears as if the lnb on 119 isn't getting power but when scanned it gets 200 channels , 110 gets 275 channels . ???? Sorry to be such a pest but really want to get this thing going as I'm shifting from IKS to FTA .

Update on my progress , have box working some what . Getting some channels , but missing a lot of TP's . When I test dishes with IRD receiver I get most TP's so am thinking that the LNB's are lacking power using the Jinxbox only . Also thinking because of this I may have damaged the JB200 . Next step is I have ordered a DISH NETWORK DP 44 MULTI SWITCH DP44 PRO PLUS BELL EXPRESS W/ POWER INSERTER and a new JB200 . When they arrive & I have them installed , I will update again with my results . Also ordered a Wifi 802.11n/g/b 150Mbps Mini USB WiFi Wireless Adapter Network LAN Card w/Antenna to make this box wireless if possible & read where this will work with the V2 I have .
Any comments or suggestions on this will be greatly appreciated as I am only stumbling through this project with very limited sucess so far .
