Are all servers down and why can you change the port and should people be doing that? Thanks

You use the port you were assigned or you can change the port yourself using the Donation checker.
Doubt it will help the situation as all ports are reporting some king of trouble.

You mentioned in the up and down thread that you are on port 10610 so you must use new ip 79.142.74.230 Since you mentioned that you have been down for 4 days you should check your code to make sure it is active.

Ok Ok I got connected. It seems my powerline adapters picked the perfect time to crap out. I hardwired to my router and got connected. Thanks for your help.
