s/v 360 e will not recognize front or rear usb also freeze's up after a channel change or going to menus any ideas
have already done factory default but sence i cant us the usb i cant do anything else

Try loading the factory file using the serial connection and the loader program.

Did u not get a null or straight through cable with your box, cant remember which one , its been awhile since i played with a 360, look in the file section for the loader and factory file, and dont forget to write down ALL your setting and PS info and do a factory reset after loading any and all files

Sonicview uses a null cable. Just a suggestion but you could try a force load to see if the stb recognizes the usb that way. Insert the stick in the front usb port and while holding the ok button on the front display flip the back switch on. You will have to navigate the files and loading with the arrow keys on the front display. Composite cable works best with the option. All though you can use the s-vhs cable but the screen will not be as clear. Just a thought.

If your on component (RgB) video, you won't see the Force load menu at all.You need to downgrade to standard video (Yellow Jack) to see the menu with your 360.

force load wont work it still goes strait to boot , but when using the null cable & loading it that way what type of file does it need to be for the loader to see it winrar wont work thanks

what is the file extension you're trying to load?

when i open the loader than do com1 than look for the file is wont see it its unziped on the desktop

Make sure you have Main S/W(*.rom) in the Files of type drop down menu selected. Then you should be able to select the file you want to load.

Note: To anyone who may read this in the future. The files in the pic below are for demo. purpose only. They are not 360e files. Just an fyi.

I've never seen a box go straight to Booting when force loading with the rear switch.
You restarted from the rear switch while holding the "OK" button in on the box for 5 seconds and it still went to boot mode ??
Is that correct ??

abouttosner, you are the man lol just a figure of speech, that was my problem i did not have main rom , i did not think to change that it was downloadable image thanks for the help i will try when i get home hope it fixes my problem

ok was Abel to load factory file , usb still will not work after doing loader with cable, none of the three will work , that is why i cant do a force load ether, but the problem is still there it will move through the menu screen but as soon as Chanel s and other than factory is added it will lock up freeze on info screen , get two or three channel changes than locks up any other suggestions anybody may have in the s/v world ?

Just another thought but you could try to run the system clean file threw it with the loader. Never know a file combination may straighten it out.

ya i tried that several times , one thing i did confirm is,when there is no network device hooked up it will not freeze menu options work ,also on a different 360 p not the e, will works for about 10 min that loses Q & S completely i haven't figured out with caps to change in it yet
