I found a Scientific Atlanta explorer 3200 reciever spring cleaning... Its has a *ogers tag on it. Is it a door stop or what... Gotta get rid of all this collection of things. any help would be appreciated tks

Those receivers are able to open powervu encrypted channels on true fta satellites of course if its updated with the latest info. They are also used by some cable companies as well- bottom line is that it's a door stop.

Tks for the reply... since I first started 15 or so years ago with dave I have accumulated a lot of door stops...hehehe Now just bought a tv at an auction and it came with a reciever. It says "dvb mpeg2 4700" on the front and has a card with it "smartcard for ExpressVu digitalTV" on the bottom it says *ell... Is this one worth keeping or is it just weight I carried home... I appreciate all your help as I have sort of let all the tv sat exp slide the last few years

Unfortunately, another door stop- I have several in my receiver grave yard as well.

Ok other than anchoring my wee boat or holding the door open for the dog what can it be used for... keep it civil...hehehe

really?why is that?cause most guys I know would use it for dish or bev
