I am located in Barbados and for a number of months have not been able to get any porn or ppv channels. I am presently on Sat 110 but none of the those channels come in no matter how many times I delete and rescan. Originally I was on 119, I tried 118 but haven't had any success.

I would like back the channels. What am I doing wrong? or am I on the wrong satellite?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They are on sat 110 ... if you are unable to scan them in do a blind scan if you do have the channels but no picture contact your reseller..

I believe it is at sats 110-119 because I was on 119 originally and everything was working great until I read that the channels were being moved to 110. They stopped working on 119 (scrambled) so I deleted the sat and haven't seen them since irregardless of what sat I scan.

It just finished scanning 119 and it has pulled in up to channel 480 and then it jumps straight to channel 562.

When I do a blind scan on sat 110 the same thing happens, up to channel 480 and then it jumps straight to channel 562.

Do a factory default reset .. then reload everything..

It would also help for you to confirm your are hitting both 110 and 119 and not just one and your settings for sats are correct.

also what type of box are you using as not all units do well with blind scan and as such you get duplicate channels.

all the channels you are looking for is on 110 as stated above... but if you are only pointed to 119 and putting the settings in your unit for 110 while still aiming at 119 does not give you 110 channels..

so here's a check list to help you more.

1- check you are pointed to both or just one the sats.
2- confirm your setting on the receiver to make sure each sat is on the correct port
3- if you are pointed to 110 confirm you signal and that you are getting signal on all or most of the TP's

hope you get sorted

Thanks for the replies. I am using the I-link 9000 plus which does give multiple channels when I scan multiple sats.

I did a factory default reset some time ago and that didn't work but I can do it again if necessary.

@satcom4 I am not sure how to perform the points listed in you checklist. Any further help would be appreciated.

Thanks for any further support.

Hello cbmaster,
Nice to know someone else from the caribbean is on here as well. I am located just west of you. What satcom4 said is correct. You can try doing what he said. Also, I have heard that sat 110 signal strength is dropping down here in the south caribbean. I have two friends who indicated that to me. So I am not too sure if it is a signal issue that you are experiencing. Can you post your settings for us and the size dish you are using? Thanks in advance.

Settings are very important, you can compensate signal problems with dish size. The bigger the dish the better the signal. We are waiting for that post.

I am in the western Caribbean and 119 & 110 are evidently very close to each other. I have two LNB's one for 119 (no problem) & one for 110 which is a bit tricky. It is possible to lock the LNB set to 110 to satellite 119. Make sure when you are in settings your 110 is actually locked to 110 and not 119.
In the USA there is a bracket for using 119 & 110 together and they are side by side, here 110 is actually below 119.

I had heard that the porn channels had moved to 110, but since I can't get this bird, I dont know for sure. But what I am sure of is that they are NOT on 119.

First of all let me say sorry for the delayed response but it has been very hectic my end. Anyways, I did some poking around and paying closer attention to the setting showing up and realised that even though I think I am pulling in the channels from 110 when I do a blind scan, I finally realised that it is still set toward 119 so irregardless I will always pull in the 119 channels.
I have a 6ft dish.
What is my next step? Get someone to angle the dish towards 110?

Yes it's easy if you have a sat finder.use the proper LNB

Not sure the 6 footer will pull in two sats very well. It's round, not oval and not designed for more than one sat.

In st maarten we can hit 119 and 110 on a 3 foot dish.. peaking 110 in center of dish first as it is weak. with a 4 foot or 6 foot you can peak 119 first and put 110 on side... now barbados is far from here so my advice is to drive around, ask around and look at the local setups, go to a sat installer and ask questions.. take some photos of other setups in your area...

Can't get 110 in barbados with a 6ft dish, use to some time ago ,think we are to far south, will need a larger dish, some people say they get a couple of channels with a 8ft solid dish but not sure how much and what the channels are,so unless you go and get a 8ft or larger dish stop stressing about porn or 110 unless the spot beam gets bigger

I am not stressing guy, just want to try to get the most out of the system and find the best setup for my area.
