View Full Version : dreamlink hd server can`t connect

hi, my friends just got his new dreamlink hd,his problem is he is not able to connect to server here is what he did he load the factory file 106 and then after that he load 1.19 file after that he scan all the channel,and then he went to network setting and he put the server domain,IP,password and des key but every time he press ok to connect it said server can`t connect.server tv101
please help thanks in advance,

May be the server is down at the moment. Do a ping test to the server.

been trying since yesterday i checked the up and down thread it said its up

hi kingdom,yes he did the ping test the server,the server is ok.he reboot everything modem and reciever still cant connect to server.

Are you showing an IP address under connections? If so, your receiver is fine and it's your P$ that is the issue.

Are you sure you are connecting to the correct server address? TV101 recently changed their address for security reasons, make sure your info is up to date.

did you hard reboot your Dreamlink with power switch?

Hi, had the same situation, and after long hours of troubleshooting, problem was resolved. A mede a pin and in communication with the server service provider it was found that it was pining to another internet provider (which it was not my internet provider). So the server provider restet the password and a new password was assigned. Server connected.

snook your servar settings were not save.you need to press
the red button on the remote,then press exit each time you
enter the info.

The question is if you get connection number after you save and exit so if there is no number next to the connection after you exit then you have entered you info wrong just go over again and save each time you finish each line of info by hitting the red button.

Navigate to the first space, hit OK on remote,
enter server name or the IP using the remote and the on screen keyboard,
Hit the RED button on the remote, (save), the info will be saved but it will not show on the screen. hit EXIT,
navigate to the Port slot, enter the port info. Hit the EXIT button if you hit the RED button it will save and exit.
navigate to the user name slot, enter your info, it IS case sensitive. hit the RED button then exit,
navigate to the password slot, enter your info, it iS case sensitive, hit the RED button then exit,
navigate to the DES slot, enter the info any letters will be UPPER case, hit the RED button and then exit.

Now you can now navigate to the final slot press OK on the remote. You will see one of two messages.

1. "Server is connected!" you may now exit the network settings, be sure to SAVE the settings when prompted on screen. In the network settings menu you will see a message, (lets say you have entered server info for 4 servers, and you have decided to "activate" 3 of them. The message will say connected (1,2,4), that is assuming these are the servers you have activated. Again exit saving when prompted. As long as your tuned to a working channel the pic should now appear.

2. "server - can't connect" If you get this message, first do a hard reboot, (from the rear switch).
If after rebooting the server still will not connect and your internet connection is ok. Then it is likely you have entered the info incorrectly and you must redo the settings. If after a couple of attempts then reboot your modem, then router then dreamlink, waiting approx 1 minute in between each reboot

thank you Nesta,the only problem was he put the wrong port.now he is connected.

I may have a similar issue. When you say pin. Is there a password set on your modem. Also, is your internet provider connected to another internet provider. please PM oe message me.
