i found out how to rec to a usb stick but cant make it play back. am i doing it wrong or what. thanks

Not that simple dishuser, at least not in my household.
I get the recording but cannot playback.
Tried formatting to fat but nada.
Any help would be great.

Can you remove the USB stick from the Nano and put it in a PC. When you open it with windows explorer do you see any files on it - namely files that are type ts or idx(the file suffix is .ts or .idx.) If you see those kind of files, put the stick back in the nano, wait for the message USB detected/ready shows up on the screen and then push the play button near the bottom of the remote. You should get a list of the files on the USB - move up or down on remote to select a file and then press the play button again. If the USB is empty, it means that you thought you recorded but didn't. If that is the case, post again and we can talk about what to do and what you should see when you want to record a program. (You can also see any files on the USB using one of the menus in the Nano but I won't go into that at this point).
