Good morning! Recently signed up for BeaverTv and couldn't be happier. Great service. One problem though. I'm running a NFHD w/ N.O.I. and some channels in the north are missing, all HD........800, 803, 836, etc. They are showing as Mpeg2, audio but no pictures. All other viewable HD channels are Mpeg4. I've checked my settings, rescanned, and no difference. Anyone know how to fix this?

So am I. And I used to get the channels I listed with another P$ for the north. But when I switched to BeaverTv, they won't come in. Any suggestions?

did you do your own scan?

Yes sir, rescanned both sats. On one transponder #24 12559, I even added one transponder, changing the polarity since I was getting signal on both V & H. Still no go.

Remember now that the NORTH is spotbeamed it all depends on how far out the signal leaks and even the time of day that you scan. My neighbor tells me sometimes he puts a channel on and it is fine, two hours later and he loses most of the signal. I have noticed that SIGNAL LOSS is at its peak this time of the year for the North.

Interesting, I've never heard that before. But I'm definitely within the parameters for reception, so I don't think that is a factor.

I "know" what he meant tor, meaning that the footprint has been changed with the launch of Nimiq 6 and 4. I just cannot understand why some channels (mostly CTV and CITY) are NOT coming in. ALL channels that scan in as Mpeg4 (when you call up the info on the channel) are viewable. ALL the Mpeg2 channels (SD) are fine. Why are there these few channels that will NOT show up after repeated scans, checking of the settings, etc. I KNOW everything is the way it should be. Is it possible that there is a glitch with the receiver?

If it's all the channels on a particular TP that are missing then your LNB might be drifting off frequency. Adjust the frequency of that TP up/down one digit at a time (or whatever your receiver will allow) and see if the channels show up after a new scan.

No, it's more than just one transponder. I'm wondering if a FD and complete rescan would help? I know it's a PITA but if that will work, I'll give it a shot. Thoughts.......................?????

Those channels you are missing are in the 2800s. 2800,2803 & 2836 All 3 show as Nimiq 82 west and 720P. Its probably just our receivers renumbering them differently.

Just a FYI....I finally got everything figured out. I did a FD, then set up my sats, scanned all, BUT I changed the file from r25F to r24F, and low and behold, EVERYTHING is now showing as Mpeg4 instead of Mpeg2 and ALL channels are there.
Thanks for any help.

Why is that?

I'm using 24f and was about to go to 25f to use the latest posted transponder/channel file. After reading your thread I'm having second thoughts.

I'm missing a lot of channels and thought 25f was the easier way to go to resolve channel loss. Any way you could post a transponder/channel list/file for both south and north with hd?(if you have both providers) From what I've found so far and correct me if I'm wrong members, is that 24f has been abandoned for 25f as far postings for transponder/channel file.

I've been out of the game for a while so I'm a little rusty. Bare with me as I try to figure out the best way to get my channels back.

I have the same problem and I'm using 25f. Is there any difference in switching to 24f? Ideally I'd like to not have to set everything up again, but I do want all the channels.

I'm using 24f and am missing a lot of channels and it does not seem as if it's supported.

Have you tried the latest file posted for 25f with transponders and channel list?
