do you unplug and power off the fta receiver when you are loading via cable. I cant remember since I have not done this for a few years now.....I remember when you flash the older ones you had to pwere up and when the reciever displayed boot then you hit the ok button????

people have been reporting 709 320 working fine until the ecm
Only factory files can be loaded by cable

thanks for all the response, but my original question was how do you load a file via cable....do you have to power off / unplug the receiver?

You should have found you're way here by now : FAQs, Guides , Loaders, Utilities and Manuals (http://www.satfix.net/forumdisplay.php?1354-FAQs-Guides-Loaders-Utilities-and-Manuals) (se setup is the same)

already saw those but no where there does it tell you where to load via the serial port...I used to do this a while back but with age and possibly Alzheimer ........I sort of forgot!!!

The loader program used to contain a how-to where it details how to use it

Looking at the loader options it would appear that the receiver should be powered on ( not that it should make a difference) . Setup your com port , open file etc.
