on the wifi board there seems to be no reset button even though it says it's supposed to. Either I can't find it or I am looking for something that it is not. What does the button look like I have a big black thing with right after the usb portion of the board it has a 330 on it is that the reset one. Or is it the little button after that which I press both and nothing happens. I messed up my board where now it won't let me connect to 192.168.16.1 but it still works fine I just need it reset so I can do the process again.

Not sure but if you just unplugged it for 20 seconds and then plug it in and see what happens?

thanks Mclovin I did that and for some reason it still shows unindentified network I was stupid and decided to try to change the ip settings in network settings to the one on my network since I figured it would maybe connect that way and for some reason after that it now does this. I actually think if I can get to the 192.168.16.1 site I can get everything set up right but I can't somehow get there it goes opps wrong address. Thanks for any help you can give.

If you want that specific ip set it to use a static address.

Are you aware that you must setup the wifi using the computer?

I can't connect to the computer because it won't let me go to that site it was working a few hours ago until I changed the settings on 192.168.16.1 and then pressed apply and ever since it couldn't work anymore and shut me out of that page. I am trying to get it to let me back on. Someone at dss pro said there is a reset button on the wifi it even says w:reset on the back of the box but there is no button on my wifi board at least not that I can tell that looks like an actual button. Thanks. It's also saying it can't fix the connection because the ip is not vaild. I can't change the ip at all.

nope windows 8 and it was bought with the computer. Thanks. I can tell you however it happened on two different ones after I updated the lan on the settings on that 192.168.16.1 page I mistakenly did it instead of the wan in the directions and ever since it has been doing this.

well I know what I would be tempted to try myself but not sure how you do it on Windows 8, windows 7 or XP I think I would just uninstall the network card driver and then reboot let it find new hardware and see if that resolves it.. It sounds like you have some type Ip conflict

Finally got it to load the page up however it takes me to the limesat operation page. I do all the steps in the manual and yet I can't connect to a server. My DHCP always ends up being 192.168.16.100 or something like that and never connects to the server. Is there a certain ip address we need to input my household modem connects to a ip address that is in the 10. series not the 192. ones. Thanks.

Once you follow the steps in limesat page and finish setup try accessing a site in your explorer with your computer connected to your limesat. This will verify its working.Put back the lan cable from wifi to lan port and restart you rec. Go into menu, configuration, network settings and verify that you see connection ok on the bottom. Not connecting to a server could be an issue with your private server data.

Thanks Gamer the thing is it keeps finding for dhcp 192.168.16.100 and 192.168.16.1 for gateway and 192.168.16.1 for dns 1 and 8.8.8.8 for dns2 and all of this won't let me connect at all to any servers. I could connect online with it plugged in. This is what I do I go to 192.168.16.1 with it plugged in and go to operation mode and press ethernet converter. I press apply and then go to wan and put dhcp auto and press apply. I then go to my modem in the survey and I put the info in there with pass and it grays out connect and add profile and the disconnect button. I then checked my internet and it worked so I unplugged the wire and put it in the lan and wifi ones. I rebooted and put connection on the receiver to dhcp. I can't seem to get connection though. Thanks for all the help.

What file are you using? Your ip address, subnet mask,gateway,etc... will populate on there own when you reboot. With those settings you have showing do you see connection Ok on the bottom in network settings?

Well if you have connection ok showing then your internet is working. Now go into menu, configuration, network settings and press the blue button for server setup. There you can use any slot from 1 to 8 for placing data. After placing it you must change off to the ip or domain you just placed. Then click red button for server scan. Then you will see at the top right corner scanning then the word done server connected with the number of the slot you are using.

I am able to get to the site again and do the steps again but it still won't work. The wifi works when I plug in the cable to the computer but it still says can't connect on the servers but it does say while the dhcp resets server connected for a second but then it doesn't do anything and if I press it to check again it goes back to saying not connecting. The steps I do are the ones in the manual. I go into the mode of ethernet converter. I then got to wan and I picked dhcp auto. I then go into my modem which is called home3E85 I put my pass on it and it goes gray. I plug back in the cable to the wifi port and to the lan port. I restart. I still can't get it to work. I have the latest files 131 I believe. The box finds ips in the 192.168.16 area and for the gateway it is the same as the site of the router for the limesat. I just am stumped what it could be.

Have you tried connecting your rec with a lan cable to make sure your rec connects and lan port is working? This way you can discard the rec not working. The wifi card seems to be ok as you can access it. How about the lan cable between wifi and lan port? Try a different one.

Thanks Gamer it seems the card is ok but just too stubborn to work lol. I get server connected for a second when it goes from static to dhcp and when it picks my ip up for that second it connects but if I try again to connect it says cant connect. I have tried 2 different wires. I do get internet when I hook it up to my computer and I can see the webpage for the router. I just don't know what more to do. I don't know which ip it wants me to put in to work because it seems that the one that it gives me dhcp wise doesn't work for it. I don't know if it's connecting to my wifi router though because how do you really know if it's working because it gives me the same grayed out look on the survey even when I put the wrong password in it. So how do I know if it is connecting to my home router.

Thanks Dishuser I just don't know how to pick the right ip for that. I tried the 192.168.16.2 like someone on dsspro said but it doesn't work either.

check your laptop or desktop settings
you can find ip in network settings
if pc is 192.168.1.102 then try 192.168.1.118 for example

Problem solved the manuals need to state that you need to add your profile if you want to use it. I didn't add the profile I just connected and it never took probably. Lol. Thanks everyone for your help.

Update I got it to work for a week then it stopped working I believe it needs to be turned back on by going to limesat 192 ip address but of course it's doing it again where my computer won't let me connect to the ip address to change it from bridge to ethernet converter so the light on the wifi board doesn't turn green instead it powers on and I plug the lan cables into my computer and it sees it but it only gives me an ip address of 169.254.xx.x meaning it's not connecting to the internet and if I change it manually it seems to not let me go to the website/limesat gui. It seems to do this weekly lol. Anyone have any ideas how to fix it thanks for all the help you guys gave before.
