My experience over the last 2-4 weeks is not very good. Service goes down often, without any obvious reason. Service goes down, stays down sometimes 20 minutes, sometimes 40 minutes, sometimes an hour or more. No ECM or anything announced. Very frustrating!!!!

What kind of an answer is that?
The guy has a very legitimate concern. If you don't know the answer, best leave it alone.
"Get a sub" seems to be a standard answer that is used by people who have no answer to a particular problem.
This is a forum - let people talk

Very True, the service is indeed very poor, no one knows what they are doing, ECM or lord knows. They shouldnt be down for this long if they seek donation.

actually Styx n Stones raises a very good point. You pay less than a dollar a week and if it is not perfect then you complain? Maybe you should get a sub and pay the difference and see if that 20 minutes here or an hour there is worth an additional $120 or so a month. You want to bellyache then please give them the pleasure of seeing it instead of the members here

Thanx Nostradamus... True testers get it. This is a hobby. Free-TVers just want something for nothing. In todays FTA its all plug-n-play. Nobody has to compile bins like the old days (let alone put out any effort).
Ever since the re-seller debacle last year NFPS has sucked... bad!!! But then they changed a server about a month ago and things were golden. Then on the 28th the changed servers 1-6 to a new IP and theres been some freezing since. Nothing too bad... but enough to get people thinking they are being ripped of... LOL!
Its actualy been pretty good lately. If its not for you, then start reading and testing. Are you on one the servers 1-6? If so did you change your IP. What about your ISP? Problems always at night? Do a traceroute to the server and see if theres any big delays. Start thinking about it instead of complaining about!

I also agree with styx get a sub or a better server, both nfps & rockets are the cheapest and they are also the most problematic of ALL server's !!! generally speaking you get what you pay for but nothing is perfact.

When you say "Problems always at night? Do a traceroute to the server and see if theres any big delays." What do you mean by "traceroute" and how do you do it and correct it?

Let me try and help you my friend without the negative remarks and insult I see from others because I understand your frustration and it doesnt matter if you pay $1 per day or 50c..>
I advise you foremost to get a different P$ because NFPS is not what they once was before the Wolfer got caught.. If you need a recommendation just pm me.. I have NFPS and I rarely use it because It goes down too many times and has you stated its intermittent..

If your asking about how to do a traceroute...
Its basic IP stuff. I dont want to sound condescending but... you really need to do some reading... then do some more. Try using the search box here on the forum, or ... Google is your friend!!! There is sooo much info on this that its hard to miss it.
You can do a traceroute from your command prompt or you can D/L some very nice graphical program freebies many places. If you have no idea what this procedure is I would suggest a program with graphs and a good help section. If your ISP is making your data bounce around S America then Europe then China (and maybe even go in circles a few times) before it gets to its destination, then thats a problem.
Again (and I cant stress this enough)... read, read, then read some more. Seek and Ye shall find (with a little help from Google)... LOL!
Hope this helps...
