Had adapter working, but this morning it just quit, everytime I reboot, it shows connecting, but fails to connect, went into menu, all it does is scan for network, and there is no list of networks anymore, and both quality bars are 0%, yet when I set it up yesterday it had no problems finding my router, and the people above me, their router. Need help!

I had one of the oroginal jynxbox adapters fail. The adapter just took a dump. I tried another adapter with the same chipset and worked fine. These adapters are really cheap pieces of chit from you know where.

Some times when I boot up my box I get adapter connecting.....adapter fail and then I wait a bit and it tries to reconnect and gives me a lan IP... It will try twice... If you leave it...

I just got a new one for more than one week after my old one is dead, but not sure how long it will last?

I guess I will have to get another one or something else that will work, anyone have any suggestions, or know any alternate wifi device that will work?

You should be able to get a replacement at no charge. <br />
You can also use a vonets wifi.

why not get a Vonets wifi bridge and end your problems, that's what I did, then you have something that will work on other receivers
or computers.

Mine was DOA on 2 receivers. I don't know why they include these devices with the receiver when they simply don't work for the majority of us. I found a Nanosat wifi device which unless I'm wrong is the same as a Vonets device and it works great. It just doesn't show up on the wifi menu which is fine.

the budget ataptors jynx chose to use are just crap to say the least. i have been using the same adaptors on some projects for some time and they do have a high failure rate..... they only cost a few bucks though...

search ebay for RT5370.. it is likely that different models with the same chipset will work as well.. would be good to get some user feedback if any has the time and a few bucks to gamble.
