EchoStar 7 & 8
Sonicview 360 Premiere.
I recently notice that I'm missing a ton of echostar channels from my channel guide even though they can be accessed but get no information. Mostly the 500. I did a blind scan with no avail.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanx.

Mostly PPV I guess. My channel guide only shows 54 movie channels on 110 and 119. I must have inadvertently changed a setting.

Blind scan is best used for true fta birds. When I do a scan I turn network search off which avoids scanning the HD tp's since they are useless on an sd box. Then do a scan sat (red button). Then make sure the time settings are set correct. Once back out to viewing I hit the sat button and select echo pkg.

No dice.
I took a closer look.
Here is an example of some stations that I can see if I enter them manually but in the channel guide it says “no information” and does not show up in the category page.
307, 309, 313, 329,330 etc. a lot in the 400’s, all the 500’s. Also noticing a lot of doubles.
I am definitely not doing something right.

What type of dish do you have? Been a while since I had my dish500 setup but seems this was a problem with them when the settings were wrong in the dish setup.

your lnb type needs to be ocs-dp never blind scan. 119 port 1 110 port 2. do fact reset start over .

You can also got into the dish settings and pull up the satellite list and select delete sat (green button). That will clear the channel list with out a factory reset. Just another option.

Instead of all this guessing can you tell us what type of LNB's u have? Look at them are they seperate eyes or one unit should say on them dishpro plus or quad or something like that.

If you have a dish500 LNB type should be OCS-DP for both. DiSEqC should be set at port 2 for echo 8 and port 1 for echo 7. I would clear the the list with delete sat or factory reset to avoid more duplicates.

When you select OCS-DP it will set the LNB Freq. to 11250 automatic.

You did not just scan tp 12224 - an auto or blind scan (unless scanning just one transponder) will scan all tps as defined in the sat file on the receiver for the selected satellite. Deleting the channels probably cleared corrupt data on the receiver.
