If a server is crap, you'll hear about it on here.... I don't think you'd have any issues with the more established P$, but I'd be very weary of any servers that recently popped up as they simply aren't established yet and who knows what their motive is behind starting a P$. If they are in it to make a quick buck and then drop it, you're out whatever amounts of $$$

Another key to look at is does a P$ sell all its capacity aka bandwidth to make a quick buck but in the end piss off all their customers as they will experience freezing pretty much 24/7 as there is no extra capacity to stop the lag/freezing. A smart server leaves enough capacity to ensure that there is no lag or freezing.... A happy customer means more money in the long run.

How quickly a P$ recovers from an ECM is also very important and should be a factor.
