I lost the signal from AMC 21 at 125W; was using it to get PBS channels. I thought there was a problem with my dish, but I replaced it and can't find a signal now. Has the encoding changed? Anyone else with this problem, or are you still able to receive it?

Nope they are all still there, I get a good picture on transponders 12106V, 12112V and 12180V, they are all in the DVB-S2 modulation format now, 12106 (Montana PBS) is in QPSK, OETA on 12112 and PBS on 12108 are in 8PSK.

Thanks...maybe my LNB went bad.

I'm getting them all with a 6 ft. dish in Central America. Montana is the weakest, pixelating but all the rest are perfect. They all go out in even light rain while Claro tools right along.

I would try a bigger dish, but make sure it's "Ku" band capable, some of the older 8 to 10 footers were designed for "C" band only, if it's a mesh dish, then see if you can easily put a #2 wood pencil through the mesh, (don't push it through) if you can then the dish is too old for good "Ku" band reception.

Does your receiver support DVB-S2 QPSK and DVB-S2 8 PSK ????

The cost/benefit is not there in a larger dish. On 125, only PBS goes out for a short time as a storm passes through, as does DN on 129. I wouldn't mess with prime focus mesh dishes, only solid offset. An 8 footer is almost double the cost of a 6 footer. Not worth it unless someone gives me one. I have no room for a BUD of any size.
