So after a LONG delay from the dealer shipping this thing out I finally get it and the wifi I need to work is not working.

This thing doesn't seem to be a clone ("made in china" on the remote, on/off labeled correctly, the dealer specifically states it's not a clone), but I don't know if that really matters for this issue anyway. Having said that, the front of the box says "jynxbox ultra hd v3" but in the menus it says it's a V2. Also I thought v3 had internal wifi, but on the back panel is an open hole that shows "wifi" but nothing inside the box that would indicate what that actually is for, and I received a wifi dongle with my box.

No matter what I do it shows the "wifi manager" as blue and I can't select it in the menus. Also the power light on the wifi adapter is not coming on, plugged into the front or back. So far I've tried the following, but I'm out of ideas:

-The USB port is working as I can access a flash drive from it if I plug it in there.
-I've tried doing a factory reset (nothing), reloading the factory bin (now wifi manager was gone altogether?), and loading the newest 239 bin (wifi manager blue again)
-I tried plugging the wifi dongle into my computer, it sees the dongle but I can't find any wifi networks, even when standing directly next to my router and scanning for a signal. The power light does come on and it seems to see it as a valid USB device though.
-I also tried plugging a linksys wifi dongle into the jynxbox to see if that would work but it's not doing anything.

I'm not sure where to go from here, but I can't use this box unless I have working wifi so I'm a little frustrated at this point.

Any help is appreciated!

You have to plug the wifi dongle into the box. once it is plug it, the wifi manger will turn white.

Have tried plugging it in to the front USB, back USB, leaving it in and doing a factory reset, doing a factory reset then plugging it in, all don't work.

I just plugged it into my laptop to see if the adapter was maybe bad (which I still haven't ruled out since it can't find any signals despite being recognized and having drivers installed)

Try downloading ralink drivers on your pc when it detects it should work on the jynxbox make sure to download the 5370 drivers from ralink website.

Tried that with the package that included 5370, it installed a different driver but the hardware ID didn't change (I think it's hardcoded to the USB device so that makes sense).

The hardware ID shows that it's a RT3070, which doesn't make a lot of sense as everyone online seems to have a 5370. Either there's another jynxbox wifi adapter that looks the exact same for something else, they messed up in the factory, or ?

Thanks for the help folks, contacting the dealer now!

did you unplug the power cord from the wall, the rear switch on the jynxbox don't kill all the power to the box so if you didn't
then you didn't do a hard boot.
