We all know that theme songs often tip the scales as far as a wrestler being over with the fans. Many WWE Superstars were fairly over with the fans but broke the glass ceiling upon receiving a new theme song.
Moreover, I could give you at least 10 snippets of theme songs from the past 20 years, and you would almost immediately link them to the correct superstar.
In this new series, we are going to have some fun picking the best theme song out of two competitors who are in close proximity as far as WWE status is concerned. So let's get started.
Wade Barrett vs. Jack Swagger
I criticized both of these theme songs initially. Barrett loses points for having a revolving door of theme songs, and Swagger's song sounds like something from Super Nintendo. However, both of the songs have grown on me, and they fit their current wrestlers.

After trying many different variations of his former theme song, he came out to this new theme on Raw. Which was strange because theme songs are usually unveiled on pay-per-views or before something major happens, e.g., CM Punk returning in 2011.
Barrett, however, debuted his newest song during a tag team match with Fandango against Chris Jericho and The Miz on May 20. Barrett lost the match and hasn't won many since. Nevertheless, this type of theme music would fit perfectly in the main event scene, so hopefully his fortunes will turn around.

Despite being a former world heavyweight and United States champion, Swagger had a horrible 2012 year in pro wrestling. From the summer onward, he suffered an embarrassing losing streak, causing him to leave in September to recuperate.
In February, he returned, demanding that Booker T put him in the Elimination Chamber match. Not only was he included but he won, becoming the No. 1 contender to Alberto Del Rio's World Heavyweight Championship.
To help Swagger's push, an "uncle"—Zeb Colter—was introduced to draw even more heat with his pontificating patriotic remarks, although Swagger had an entirely different theme song than before. Unfortunately, he was arrested for a DUI in the process of a big push, and his career has become deflated once again.
So, even with rather stagnant careers, both Barrett and Swagger have good theme songs. Voice (civilly) your opinion on which theme song is better and send your theme song candidates to @cravewrestling.
