It's still listed on Lyngsat, but it is listed as a DVB-S2 8PSK MPEG-4 transponder, so check to see if your receiver is set to or capable of that type of modulation.

The person who could check for you is our illustrious Super Mod Costactc, he has the equipment to check that one for you, as it is out of range for my location, and I don't have a "C" band dish.

I scanned 40.5w yesterday. Cancao Nova tp comes in strong with 5 open channels:

The openbox should not have any issues with any of the channels on this satellite as long as your feed is circular. Several channels will scan in with a linear feed but most will not.

It used to work with the lnb and all of a sudden it stopped working.

If it all of a sudden stopped working then it could be environment related, did you have any lightning storms or heavy rain when it stopped working?

Any power surges?

Heavy wind?

hi terryl, yea i have tried to retweak the dish and checked the lnb, my family member is picking up a new circular lnb tm and then i will retry it to see if the lnb is wrong.. i have heard that the channel has decrease its signal thats why its harder to point to. but not sure if thats true. thanks again.

As long as your feed is circular you shouldn't have any issues. Just a simple dilectric plate inserted into an lnbf will suffice.

Hi, my family member has a
GKC-D002

It says it a dual band ku/c band,
As he had he was having issues with his other lnb, the guy that sold it to him said its a circular lnb, but is it? I am not sure.
All I know is, when he chgd his lnb which was no good , it's worked on this other lnb prior to these issues.

It will work fine as long as the dilectric plate is inserted for circular satellites, it will lose signal quality on linear sats though. 40.5w has been replaced with SES 6 which is more powerful. I scanned that satellite the other day and 247 channels scanned in with my side feed which is weaker then my main feed.

so, is there any pointers to scan this sat.. i am use to tweaking smaller dishs, not much on the c-band.. also i have to tweak this dish by hand. the motor doesnt work to tweak it via IRD..

HI Costactc, do you live in the GTA? As i am looking to try and find someone to tweak this dish for me, i am still not able to get this channel to come in, no signal on this freq. 4169 V 18390.. still no signal..

I live about 450km east of the GTA. If you are scanning in other transponders on SES 6 then your dish will need to be tweaked. Try pushing down or up on the dish, if signal quality increases then you will have to adjust your dish elevation. Try taking a small tv outside with your receiver and skew your lnbf until optimal signal quality has been achieved.

Hi, yea that would be way to far.. lol.. i have tried the small tv & IRD outside with me and still not getting that TP, is there a tp similar to this tp that would help me get this channel? i am not sure what else to try..

Tp strength can vary from satellite to satellite. Are you at least picking up other tp on Ses 6?

I switched my 8' solid to exclusive c band circular and all sats and tp are coming in- installed my new bsc422 with dilectric plate inserted. Is your feed circular or linear? If linear try inserting the plate and see if you have any success.
