Got my box this year and now running pretty good but... how PVR works???

I got press red dot button to record and white square button to stop record but how 2 record a future event from the guide???
I messed around with buttons and found that >|| button lets me see what shows are recorded.
How does 'send to PC' work? Send how? Where on PC? Special setup?

Any way to get these files via the webloader?

Do I have to pull the USB every time I want to retrieve these files?

Not yet recorded anything in HD. Anything special I need to know for that other than files are bigger?

Thanks

you would have to find the old ipvr file i tried it before and had it recording to the computer but it always played back choppy i never did get it to work well nor did i ever read it worked well

the only this is yes the usb stick or an external hard drive that will save it to then yes move it to the desired place to play it.

i think i use to play it from my western digital media player.

i just looked on the beta site they have the ipvr v1.5 file.

I thought it was still choppy even when you use usb drive or external hard drive to record and playback.Correct me if I'm wrong.

I recorded an SD movie and watched the whole thing. Not choppy at all. Haven't done that yet with HD but now I will.

Still working on this whole PVR thing. I am currently using a Lexar 8GB USB just for a reference.

Make your life easy and just record to USB stick. A two hour HD movie is about 4GB, just go out and buy an 8, 16 or 32 GB stick, they cost about a $1 per GB or less, just try to buy one with fast read/write speed. You could also hook up a powered USB drive.

I don't have my NFHD hooked up at the moment but to use the IPVR you need to set the address in the "Ipconfig" of the IPVR PC. I think it is default 255.255.255.0, so set it to the address of the PC that is running the IPVR software.

If memory serves correct the USB works better though.

Confirming USB works just fine.

Would have been nice if you could just up/download media files but whatever.
