I have a 1000.2 setup near Detroit, MI. This far east I have been thinking I should have went with a 1000.4. I tweaked the dish as much as possible, I can get a signal at around 80 on 119, mid 70's on 110 and best I can get is 71% satellite signal on 129 on the spot beams. On a clear day like today.

All the channels come in ranging from 65-75%. On cloudy days that 65% just is not good enough for many of the HD channels, several of the SD channels are in the upper 60's as well. Just trying to compare what kind of signal others are getting.

Wondering if I should/can get a 1000.4 LNB and install it on my 1000.2 dish. Since I am this far east maybe I will get a better signal with a 1000.4 set-up?. Bottom line, no matter how much tweaking done to the dish I am barely getting by since half of my channels are under 70%. I figure since I am further away from the western arc distance wise my signal is less as a result. Am I correct? Any help would be appreciated.

As there is no support for IKS on the Eastern arc, (I think) your stuck with the Western, what you can do is go with bigger dishes, one setup for 110/119 and a separate one for 129.

I use a 33 inch for 129.

And the type and length of coax can make a difference, for long runs up to 150 feet you can use RG-6 quad coax with a pure copper center, further then that you can use RG-11, and it all should be good to 2.5 GHz or swept to 3 GHz.

I too am from the michigan area, Close to Ann Arbor. Using same dish as you and am pulling mid to upper 70% on 129. You dont have it completely tweaked in yet or something is blocking ya. I use tp 12516 to tune all lnbs, and the 110 signal should be higher as well. Skew a bit more possibly. Your very close to getting it.
