Can some one direct me that what type of serial cable you use to programme jynx hd. i have damaged my box and it won't take any files thru usb

Make sure its a null modem cable. As I learned from a member who helped me out, now all db9 to serial cables are null modem

Jynxbox has never used a nm-cable.

Sorry for the misinformation. I assumed since most FTA boxes used null modem cables that the Jynxbox would as well. Thanks for the correction.

Just get a "Null modem" cable, AND a null modem adapter, if the STB needs a null modem cable then your set, if you have an STB that needs a straight through cable then you stick the null modem adapter on one end of the null modem cable and you have a straight through cable.

Simple, one cable to do both.

Jynxbox is one of the current boxes not to use a null cable.
Thank dishuser as he was correct again.

Terryl, straight through cable is cheaper however if you have a nm cable and buy the adapter it is the same price but doesn't always work. Trust me.;)

No need to pm.
Sometimes the adapter does not transmit the desired signal.
Some have gone through 4 different ones and no dice.
Straight line is best.
