Can you please tell me if usals and 1.2 motor options/ controls are built in to the design of the software and what is the max. Ma output for Lnb 450 or higher ? perhaps , I could not see these details in the description . thanks ( just want to make sure it will drive my motors )

well I wouldn't be too concerned about this box because the guy with kijiji ads won't last for long promoting 3rd party software and how to install it, even if he is in Canada, is just plain dumb. Somebody better get the guy some soap on a rope

Why is not page 2 of this thread loading?

It may be a great box BUT it needs dealers to support it. Guy on Kijiji just does not float my boat. No dealers. No warranties. No nothing. Not buying a pig in a poke. Looks like this site already likes the box. It has its own section already? What's up with that?

True, not my concern but does make me wonder is all.

My problem is that I really like this concept of a build it yourself linux box. I just wish it was a bit more solidly based. Hopefully this will develop into something good for the folks. Right now this whole thing is pretty sketchy.

Kijiji has this listes in many places, has anyone actually tested this box yet though I am waiting to see some random UI pictures to out pics of the EPG pics of the IPTV interface. The asking price is that of the grandfather boxs plus the cost of a hd module on top of that is starting to dip into the steep. Because of it being linux based I would think it would be something similar to a dreambox 800 and a captivworks HD received.. just my thoughts

I am unsure of the differences between the Pro version that my friend has or to spend a 100$ more for IPTV/ VOD on the 3rd flavour for as they say, which is readily available on the net or simply using my Jynxbox android player . I was told there was nothing more than International/ indian channels on the iptv , But wondered if the Pro has the option to access the 1000,s of net stations too . I did hear you can get the weather on the pro ..lol

If there are any testers working on the pro version flavour #2 , could you please report your findings .. thanks

Yes I am wondering the same, IPTV is starting to make tremendous leaps some private IPTV's even have more then the international channels. What will really open this receiver up to possibilities is the VOD and linux based capabilities, let us know if you get one good sir

if possible, how about some pics of the guide/epg, user interface and iptv options, looks very promising and makes me interested but would be nice to see what the interface looks like, one of the things with most new receivers is the lack of detail to the guide/epg and makes the whole user experience crappy when the menu's and epg look like a kid designed it, there is more to a receiver than the way the menu's and how well the epg works and looks but would be nice to see something more advanced than what has become the norm with most newer receivers

I have been looking to read reviews myself before dropping the cash , but all is quiet . but than again its only been out 8 days ..lol
My friend who has them has been running his pro version all week and loves the nifty feature of watching somthing via net on another device somewhere in the house via VLC player .I hear the public is running strong too .If i get one I will give an extensive review .

Been testing this box for a week. Picture quality is great. EPG populates fine for south. VLC streaming works great to. WiFi has no disconnect issues. Samba network drive setup to my nas plays fine.

Video player does not work with digital audio. No truehd or HD DTS audio support. AC3/DTS is not working.

Love to see the kernel upgraded to Linux 3.x. Also the group should release the kernel sources. That is a must.

from past experiences, official websites always seems to only get the people running it behind it into trouble ;)

personally i could care less if there is any official website or not

as long as there are forums that are monitored by coders and support is provided based on the information they gather from feedbacks!!!

I find it only goes to end of file when you hit the fast forward more than 2X. Otherwise it plays back fine. But not being able to skip commercials is a pain! lol
