My Dreamlink V4 review

I just setup my dreamlink v4 last night.....first i have to say i was shock of how small it is....i thought it was like a sonicview or viewsat HD box.....second it uses a kind of power supply...not your standard built in power cord....my believe is, this and size of the box has to do with lack of power lots of people report....also the GUI is very disappointing looks very mediocre bunk EPG....also setting up your private $ info not friendly to do, sense u cant see the info your typing in....your prune to mistakes recommend using Make2Dream T4 trust me you will safe yourself a lot of headaches ....this all has to do with the very poor GUI....my opinion dreamlink team needs to work on a new GUI big times. now over all great box performance wise and the most important thing "NO FREEZING" if the GUI issue was resolved i would rated a 10....but for now i give 8 out of 10.

the guide issue has been discussed in length in the feedback forum I have not seen many posts discussing the power issue? It supplies 500mA which is fairly standard now

I've got a T4 and it seems to have trouble keeping the signal locked. I usually have to reboot it a few times a day to get the signal to come back.

I've also got the DLHD unit that does not have this problem

well it lacks mayor power when it comes to signal lock....also no front USB port....only one in the back....to me it lacks lots of resources....this box is way over price for what it offers... i already regret buying it......im beginning to think that jynxbox HD is the better box by far.

not is a robust box....looks very cheaply build.

well is been around 24 hours and i notice the power issues already, some channels have a difficult time locking in....and i hate the GUI and the EPG.... also i notice is a very noisy box when hook up to the surround sound like a grrrrrrrr type of sound...i think is way over price.

Sounds as you purchased a clone. There are no V 4. There has always been an epg issue.

It stretches the pic and looks distorted. I know it's an HD box but not all channels are in HD and sometimes HD channels goes down.

U think is a clone....the box said made in Korea....looks real to me.

and if the epg bothers you then you should've done your homework cause it's posted many times it only populates a few hours

not the pic....the link a posted sellers have them listed a ver 4....if is a clone time will tell when the clone killer bin takes it out ;-)

let it sit for 15 minutes and all good in the hood
really who gives a rats azz if the dealers call it a v4 then that's what it should be addressed as I know one of them has a tiny remote saves confusion you guys keep trying to correct an issue that will never be fixed till the dealers just say its a dlhd v1

Dunno what to tell u , but I like mine and have had it since they first came out. Plays well , records great playback great . Guide sucks a bit but all in all good box..

I started this thread just give my opinion on the box.....if your happy with your thats great.... im not saying the box is horrible but to me is way over rated.

My brothers guide works pretty well
We will continue to correct dealer BS so members know there is no difference

The only difference between the v1 to v4 is they went to a smaller remote, everything else is identical

module installed or not has nothing to do with versions, dealers should not be installing 8psk modules but are as it is illegal to sell
