locking on sats!!

okay I'm having one hell of a time here!I am trying to switch to a diseq switch, everytime i switch heads from dual to single it won't lock onto sats 110/119 if i put the dual back on no problems, using dish 500 and nano prem.I followed the instructions to no avail. please someone try and help me, i want to set up another dish for B3V which is just a single for 91 sat,could it be the switch ?thanking you in advance JB

not quite following you A single lnb will only get one sat Do you mean a twin like the pic below?
If so post your new settings for the twin

It has an internal switch so you dont add another diseq to it
If it says dp on it it uses internal diseq settings
assign 119 to port 1 ,change tp frequency to 12297 to check for sat lock
assign 110 to port 2
If it does not have dp on it it uses multi switch settings,Dont know them off the top of my head and am heading to work
Check the switch forum for adding bev into the mix

i figured out the switch part, bad switch or operator error, did some reading, now i cannot lock onto 91 sat, i have good q and s 95% but won't lock onto sat.

Try a reboot of box and see if it locks.

Are you using tp 12224? What happens if you scan? Do you get channels down?

yes using 12224 and it just runs through the scan in seconds and no channels!

You have a dual head with an internal switch and are adding a single head with both going into a 4 x1. not sure if that can be done. Give me a few....

you have two cables coming from the dual side with two outlets and the third from the single all into the 4 x switch? 119 on 1, 110 on 2, 91 on 3?
Work on 91. put it into 1. Unplug the others. Scan then plug 119 in to 2 and scan. Then plug 110 into 3 and scan. Most likely a bad switch. Make and is is outside?

Test 91 on port 1, carry on with ports 2 and 3 and 4. probably a bad switch if it is outside. Any rain lately?

Also, check all connectors for corrosion and if you replace the switch, get some DI-electric grease or sil-glide - (Google) for the connections. No longer in the hobby but still have a bit of knowledge.

I have all three(91-110-119) on mine but I would never catch Bev just the lnb side byside .
First my dish is oval and turned for me to catch all three.
Not sure if you understand but there is no way you will catch 91 like that on a dual(jmo).

for that to work it would need an lnb or a spacer between 110 and 91

i live in Canada! do think a better quality switch would work better? i hooked up to my next box and 119 won't even come in the switch i have is a space labs disecq which is older! thanks

Changing your switch to a emp, baff or chieta would be a good first step. JMO

well got a new switch, baff works well but still can not lock on 91 sat. i will try some more later today, thanks for your help and any more suggestion are always welcome, thanks again JB

use a barrel connector and run 91 straight to rcvr

finally got 91 locked in and scanned, I want to thank everyone that helped especially the staff here at satfix, you guys do good things for good people when in need, thanks again very much appreciated. JB
