I need help setting up the Jynxbox .
I am setting up the Sonicview 8000HD at home which working really well but when I bring the Jynx box home it doesnt work or have no signal. Or do I have to readjust the dish for the Jynxbox (dish Turbo HD at home). When I bring the Jynx box to work place with the Jynxbox aiming at 119 TP 12311 and get good signal but dont get much channel for 110 and 129 also. Missing alots of channels using the dish 1000.2 with DDP 44 SW and power inserter.

Here are setting for Jynxbox with Dish 1000.2
119 port 1 TP 12311
110 port 2 TP 12253
129 port 3 TP 12767
I use the tin foil cover the left and right of the tripple LNB and find the signal of 119 in the middle LNB

The dish should not need to adjusted if it works with your SV8K receiver. Have you tried connecting both receivers up to the dish without using the DDP44 switch? The 2 should be enough to power the lnb on the 1000.2 dish, at least at my house just 1 SV8K powers it but I have 2 set up. Actually 3 counting my Freesat HD. I understand the Jynxbox has settings to use OCS-DP for lnb type.

thnx for your fast respond.
I do not adjust the dish since the Sonicview is working fine with HD Turbo dish. I just replace the Sonicview receiver with the Jynx box but the Jynxbox does not have the signal so my question do you have to reaim the dish when you test a different receiver. I am using the Jynxbox at work and I hate to go up the roof in the commercial building every time setting up the Jynxbox with dish 1000.2 using DDPP 44 with power inserter.
when I set up the jynxbox on the roof using portable dvd player get good signal for 119 on TP 12311 but then when I came down signal is not there.
Do you have a Jynxbox?

You do NOT have to change the direction of a working dish....you DO need to get your settings correct on the stynxbox, though.Does it have the jb200 installed?
P.S....don't consider the jump from an sv8000 to a stynxbox an upgrade:exactly the opposite.

agreed. on both counts. trust us after you use the jynxbox for a while you will appreciate how good the sonicview really is.
and you may want to look into the dish and switch I think I remember reading about the jynxbox not liking the dish 1000.2 with DDP 44 SW but I could be wrong.
oh and i'll upgrade your sonicview with my jynxbox if you ever want to trade lol :)

I dont adjust the working dish (turbo HD) I am just testing out the Jynxbox instead of the Sonicview 8000 HD. However the signal doesnot come in when I have a working Sonicview 8000 HD receiver but according to Scooby8888 reply was the Jynxbox dont work well with dish 1000.2. Dish 1000.2 and Turbo Dish HD is the same dish just newer logo on dish.

any idea.

Hey Shadalert

so you have the same dish. Do you have a DDP 44 SW with power inserter too.
Here are my problems when I test the Jynxbox over the SonicView 8000 HD. The Sonicview 8000 HD is totally fine with the Dish HD but when I replace the Jynxbox and do a auto scan for each sat and notice some of the TP from each sat (110 119 129) doesnt come in for example on 129 TP 12632 have signal and TP 12676 doesnt have signal and these are the TP that have Golf HD and Tennis HD also TP 125001 doesnt have signal and same thing with the other 2 sat 110 119 not all TP have signal. I cant even get porn on 110 TP 12253, but anyway when I press the channel on remote some time the channel that work doesnt not have (NO SIGNAL) so I have to press channel up and down a couple of time until the signal bar shows green. Any one who have Jynxbox have the same proplems as I do.

The Jynxbox has multiple problems with dpp lnbs, doesn't like many switches. I myself, thought when I bought this receiver that it had a lot of potental, I was saving for the Sonicview since I had the SD Sonicview, but they discontinued before I could purchase. I expected that Jynxbox would do like previous excellent receivers and continually improve the software with reports of problems. But, it seems that they only wanted people to buy more and more gadgets as they could release them, and only supply newer software to take care of these gadgets and not improve the bugs that needed to be fixed. I personally believe the ruse of a clone is their way of getting away from the Ultra and go to the mini and hoping people were gullible enough to go for it as reports are now appearing they have stopped productions of the Ultra and past history of FTA receivers says no new files except to kill. So beware!!!

RegardsSorry, I'm just getting back to you. Yes, I do use the DPP power inserter. First of all, I haven't had the problems you described you are having with your Jynx. I've never experienced on my Jynx any of the problems with the dpp lnbs indicated by Lowteck. If you're not getting some of the tps, I suggest that you check the settings of each tp you're having problems with and confirm they are correct. Or, install one of the earlier bins and try rescanning again. Another possibility is you could have a "clone" which Jynx is not supporting and I don't blame them. Good luck!

I have to agree with Lowteck on that one. I just spent another 2 hrs on the commerical building roof yesterday evening to test out the Jynxbox again. Not only the dish 1000.2 but also I try the tripple single DPP lnb bracket and find some problems. All the signal are fine 110 119 129 but when I scan not all TP comes in. for example 110 Porn comes in but not PPV channels and these channels are on 110 bird. have not yet scan the 119 and 129 yet. So perhaps its could be a clone but I bought this when first came out V2.......

I know some Jynx owners have had problems getting all tps with some of the latest releases but the problem was solved with an old bin. I haven't had any problems with DPP lnbs and there could be other reasons why you have such as settings, connections, etc.

I have thought about that too so I load the firmware 216 but the result is no difference.

Here is what I found out. So I get the good signal on dish 1000.2 with the Jynxbox even though I have tried most of the old bin files including the 237 and 239 bin and the result still unsatisfied. I cant get no channels on TP 12676 TP12647 TP 12472 and may be a few more TP dont comes in but however I do get GOLF HD on TP 12632 but If I replace the Sonicview 8000 HD I can watch all the HD channels so my question is what possible went wrong with the Jymxbox.
Again I assure the my setting are correct
129 port 2
119 port 1
110 port 3
all these goes to 1 2 3 of the SW 44 SW with power inserter using dish 1000.2
Tuner ---- LNB1(Fixed)
Legacy LNB --- OCS-DP
22K ----OFF
Polarity ____ Auto
these are JYnxbox setting

Your port settings should be:
Port 1 119
Port 2 110
Port 3 129
You don't need the SW 44 turned on.
Try manually scanning just the tps individually you are having problems with. It has worked for others.

shadalert.
I mean the SW 44 Switch with the power inserter I used because the dish 1000.2 is power hog not in the menu setting. I have tried manual scan some of the 129 TP like TP 12676 TP 12647 etc and and get no channels but some other TP 12632 works. In the mean time if I take out the Jynx and replace the SV 8000 HD and works fine with all the TP 129.

Is your power inserter in-line or is it connected directly to the inserter port on the sw44? It should not be used in line.

Dish 1000.2
119 to 1
110 to 2
129 to 3 of the DPP 44------> to power inserter------ to the receiver. This has been always the connection as the same I connected at home for the SV 8000 HD.

xxecute,

Power inserter goes to (1) port on the DPP44. DPP44 also marked on that port '(1) to Power Inserter'. Hard to get that part wrong. But NOT put your Jynxbox to the other side of the power inserter. Put Jynxbox on port (2) 'to receiver'. It will work much better.

On 119 Sat setup
LNB Frequency set to 11250
Legacy LNB set to OCS-DP
DiSEQc set to PORT 1

On 110 Sat setup
LNB Frequency set to 11250
Legacy LNB set to OCS-DP
DiSEQc set to PORT 2

On 129 Sat setup
LNB Frequency set to 11250
Legacy LNB set to OCS-DP
DiSEQc set to PORT 3

There are quite a few TPs that do not scan because they are spot beams not receivable in your area.
If you look at those TPs the signal bars will be gray and 42% or so. To be scannable, the TP needs more than 60% or so and show in color bars. Maybe not even scan until you get pretty close to 70%. On the dish setup screen, goto the TP you are having trouble with select it and see what the signal strength is. Crappy signal = no scan. Check your EPG to see what channels you are missing. Then you can look up what TP that channel is on. Google "lyngsat". That site does great job of sats and TPs listing.

you are confusing me now. If you look on the net of the DPP 44 SW with power inserter that not how the diagram show from what I found on sadoun.net. All the LNB should connect to the DDP 44 which label 1 2 3 4 lnb in and on the other side of the DPP 44 goes to the power inserter and the other side of the power inserter to the receiver. Correct me if I am wrong cuz that whats I had at home using the SV 8000 HD and works flawless. Now back to ur post I am not quite understand the connection but I look into testing the Jynx box at home with my DISH HD dish and will let you know.

I am looking at the picture of the DDP 44. The 1000.2 LNB goes to port 1 port 2 and port 3 of the LNB in ports of the DPP 44 which capture 119 ---1. 110 -----2. 129----3.On the other side of the DPP is the To switch ports. This only used if you are having multiple receiver or multiple dish which I dont use. The other side of the DPP 44 is To Receiver ports. This is where it goes to the Power inserter and on the other side of the power inserter is to the LNB in of the receiver. Correct me if I am wrong cuz this connection work fine ever since I owned the SV 8000 HD.

xxcutive, Aeonfkux has the correct settings, and I have been testing your exact set-up Sv8000HD and JynxboxV2. I do not use the actual Dpp44 switch in my set-up I only use the power inserter. Do not connect your jynxbox to the power inserter they dont play well. I have tested the Sv8000hd inline with the power inserter to port1 of the lnb and Jynxbox to port2, that works well but I dont want to risk losing my SV8000hd so I have a Ilink9000plus connected to the power inserter to Port1, JynxboxPort2, SV8000hd Port3. Use the internal switch of your Dish1000.2 instead of complicating things with your Dpp44 switch.
