View Full Version : Red Bar when Info button is pressed

When you press the info button Blue bar next to S indicates signal strength the longer the blue bar stronger the signal, the Green bar next to Q indicates quality the longer the green bar stronger the signal.

However on top of CURRENT tag which shows current program and time, there is a red bar which is sometimes short and sometimes long, any idea what it indicates?

You must be a psychic LOL, since you are right that it is about EPG. The length of red bar indicates the extent to which EPG is populated for that particular channel.

I pressed green EPG button and found some channels which are having EPG problems which indicated no information in EPG, for the same channel I pressed info button, the red bar was absent for it, then looked at some channels which had EPG information, the longer the EPG before it said no information the longer the read bar, shorter the EPG shorter the red bar.


Don't see one on my premium and never noticed one.
Press the info button, may be twice since it will stay till you press exit, then you will notice

Yes yes but I think that red line just tells you how far into the show you are.
Checked it last nite and everytime a new show would start the redness would start from left to right.

You two are right, I mistook since I looked at few channels that have EPG issues, it has no EPG at all even though Lyngsat says Full EPG, if the field is CURRENT No Info there is no red bar at all, makes sense.

It works when the field CURRENT is populated with time and program name, which is the case for most channels
