Just got p$ and a new dreamlink HD, but I'm missing a ton of channels I get strong signals on some 110, 119, and 129 ch but also receive bad no signal on many channels with the same birds. I was under the impression that if you get a strong signal on let's say 110 that you should be fine signal-wise on any other 110 channel. After reading a bit I understand lots of channels require some fine tuning so to speak. I'm not familiar with tp scans, so if anyone out there can point me to a good website that will tell me which tp corresponds to what channels and how to manually adjust or perform a scan to correct the isssue on a dreamlink HD that would be greatly appreciated.

You are going to get some weak TP signals from local channels on spot beam depending on where you live.

Im just south of los angeles. I get decent signals on my locals but no image. All the hbo and premiums seem to work just fine though.

Ok that I can see. The thing that's totally throws me off is how I can totally get a kick ass signal on a channel while getting a bad signal on another all on the same bird. Go figure. Btw, I'm using beaver supposedly one of the better p$ out there.

Same bird is made up of multiple TP's all with different signal levels. The p$ has nothing to do with your signal level.

Yeah, just disregard the mentioning of my p$. the whole basis of this thread Is how does one go about fixing/adjusting a tp to get channels that give you a poor signal even though your sat is positioned correctly. Example, Chanel's 1-10 are all on sat 119. 1-5 get 90% quality while channels 6-10 get 30%, all on the same bird. This is the sort of thing I'm experiencing. How do you fix this?

How do you fix this?weak signal of this nature will probably require a larger dish......this would be true if your statement is correct that the dish you now use is correctly adjusted........marginal areas for whatever reason require larger dishes to boost signal strength......hope this helps....cheers...HT

I'm pretty sure those weak channel signals are local channels which your P$ probably doesn't carry anyway.
