I have an old flip phone on the old network
Hanging on to it for as long as I could but.....
I want one of those fancy dancy phones to play with
I must be the only person who has never taken a photo with a cellphone
What can you guys recommend to me
I only want to do the regular stuff with it....
You know....sending and receiving calls...set my alarm for getting up

I would agree. Android is the way to go, if you're not beholding to Apple - meaning you've never had an iPhone (you will always need to upgrade because you own their apps) Nokia is done. BlackBerry is done with Apple picking up their share of the business market.
This is a good choice for general use.

Samsung S3 or S4, I wouldnt look at a blackberry or an Iphone.. S4 has a larger screen if you can put up with the size or will use the phone's larger screen.. I know my old eyes love the S4's screen..

I just got my son’s the HTC ONE International. Great phone and very easy to use. Though most Google phones are easy. Of course I got there hamydowns as usual. I am now using the HTC ONE X international. The thing I like about the HTC’s is I can use them on ether type of system GSM (sim card) or CDMA (non sim card).

What ever you pick just have fun with it. That’s how you learn about it.

Well ..I would say ..HTC or Samsung.. pretty good bag for ya buck .. and Google's o/s you can't beat .. Mined you the Iphone is good ..but for what it does ..little pricy .as the nokia.. being window base ...my self I wouldn't.. bb will be to small .

Dont be rooked into a sale model with out checking when it was made...chance are it is or will be discontinued .
Go look at few and see how they compare..online you can . see if you will go on 4 g network.. which most are now ..before the 5 g ..lol so you will need the a 4g phone ..so since going with a older model .
Check with your network provider ..probable some good deals ..
Some say go to a phone place (furtureshop) etc ..to buy a phone .. um ..pros and cons... better deals on phone yup...but not on phone packages .If you are with your network for awhile ..they will throw ya bone ..lol

Six or one .. Most phones have one year ..so does matter where ya buy it ..unless you get sucked in on extra ...warranty..can be worth it if you dont pay for the phone .. ..that comes with a usually 3 years contract (free phone)

I still have my suit case phone ..I will send for free...lol

If you want a device that can do almost anything, such as what your son has, take a look at the Samsung Galaxy S4 or Samsung Galaxy Note....if, as you say, all you want is talk, text, and maybe pictures, check out the Samsung S275 or Samsung Rugby 3

I got the s3 for my wife and I last xmas. Love it! Of course the s4 came out the day after! Heard good things about that one. I was like you with my old phone too, but I am on the internet now more with my phone than with the pc. I can even check up on Satfix with it!:yes: Make sure you get unlimited data.

Well you keep getting used to that new phone Dee and don't you worry. I still have and am using a flip phone. I like to think I'm in a Star Trek episode when I use it however I can never hear anything when I am holding it in my hand looking at it and I can never get a hold of the Captain or Scotty!:tehe:
