After watching TV I always turn the Nuvenio hd box off with the remote.
2 days ago when I turned it back on again with the remote, the only thing that I get is the blue light and absolutely no display. Tried rebooting, no help.
I removed the cover and have noticed that the fan also don't work.
Checking the power to the fan and it shows 12 volts.
Would the box have fried if the fan doesn't work?
The box worked fine till I turned it off and then a few days later back on again and now nothing except the blue light.
Has anyone had a similar problem with the nuvenio hd.
Thanks for any suggestions

the blue light being on means the power supply is fine.
as for the fan and nothing else working, something on the motherboard is shot, quite possibly the processor.

many have had this problem and if you use the search feature of the forum you will find many threads/posts about this issue,
it is a capacitor issue, check the caps for bulging, discolor or if any exploded,
if I recall I believe it is the c10 capacitor you will need to replace

Thanks I will look at the capacitors. I tend to believe that it is the mother board and the processor.
The thing is that before I used the remote to turn the box on I had the display that showed the time.
When I pressed the power on button all I got was the blue light and no display.
There are many capacitors on the boards, roughly if you know in what area would the c10 be.
Thanks.

Ok, I found the C10 capacitor and removed it. It's located on the power module. It is a bit bulged and stained on top in comparison
to other capacitors.
It's very hard for me to test it with my Volt, ohm meter.
I will get a new one and replace it. If this cures the problem you are a genius.

I will keep you posted Thanks for your help

Bobby you are right it was the cap C10. I will also replace C2 10v to be on the safe side.
Got a couple of new ones, I was aiming for 35v but could only get 16v.
Now I am back to where I was before, everything is back to normal.
You are a genius, I thought I fried the mother board because the fan was dead.
I also replaced the fan got a bigger one. the box is very cool now.
Nice to have knowledgeable people on this site because I didn't know
what happened.
Thanks again to all of you for your assistance.

no problem, glad that's all it was, there use to be some nice guides complete with pics floating around on how to change and where to look for the caps, can't seem to find any here, either way well worth to fix for a few bucks as the nfusion HD is one of the better HD receivers and better built imo

you are right, I got the info and pictures elsewhere.
Caps, because we live up north are a little more money than down south, but I now where to go to buy these sort of things.
$1.40 per cap. Well worth it. Labour half an hour if you know what you are doing.
Thanks again bobby
