Display on box goes blank?

I don't know if this is just a quirk of the receiver itself, as there doesn't see to be problems otherwise.....

From time to time, no matter what channel I am watching, the blue digital display that shows the channel number will "turn off" for a few seconds and come back on. It doesn't effect the signal or display on the TV, so it is not an issue I guess.

Is this common?????

This issue was reported when the v1 came out. It's another one of those weird quirks but as you said does not affect anything when it occurs. Not something to be concerned about.
