As in my 27th Aug/13 post, I had problem to scan HD Channels on sat. 129W and later found that with Linkbox 8000HD PLus I didn't scan any HD Channels since the LINKBOX 8000HD Plus needed LS-500 HD Module. After installing the module and scanning all 3 sats- 110w, 119w and 129w (118w was not required), The HD channels were all in what after few hours watching the receiver lost the signal after few few reboots (which were done by switching off the unit with the rear switch if you turn the receiver off with the remote it could burn the module.) after this signal lost may due to the Module got burnt, it put the LINKBOX 8000HD PLUS into very unstable mode. Sometime the signal and quality would flash 98% both and disappear after moments. This pain of getting the HD channels by installing the module is big grief to mess up the receiver which has to be repaired or replaced. Any experience like such incident and suggestions to recover my messed up receiver by this silly or bad market module sold.

I'm inclined to think the module isn't the issue. What dish and LNB's are you trying to power up with this? Do you have a power inserter inline? That box by itself isn't going to power 4 LNB's especially if they are DP/Plus. But maybe you're using a diseq? Instead of just blaming the module why don't you post all your info and see if there is another issue. I've never heard of anyone frying an HD module and box because of using it properly with their set up. Although I haven't seen one report of a faulty Linkbox, I'm sure it can happen.
