I am running a BEV set-up with 3 sub'ed receivers... I believe a SW44 - at least that's what my BEV PVR says when I look in the settings.

I'm trying to replace 1 of the recievers with a Viewsat maxHD with 8psk...

Settings are as follows in the VS:
Sat 91 S70 Q88
LNB Power ON
Type OCS-DP
Freq 11250
22khz OFF
TP Freq 12224
DiSEqC 1.0 PORT 2
Motor OFF
Legacy SW OFF

Sat 82 S 0 Q 0
LNB Power ON
Type OCS-DP
Freq 10750
22khz OFF
TP Freq 12224
DiSEqC 1.0 PORT 1
Motor OFF
Legacy SW OFF
.... When I turn the LNB power OFF & TP Freq to 12676 I get S70 Q86 and it locks Nimiq 4, but I try to save those setting it does not save.

Please Help! thanks in advance!

If your LNB's do not have the big DP logo on them then they are legacy LNB's, and so is the SW44 switch, you need to change your settings to....

Sat 91 S70 Q88
LNB Power ON
Type Standard
Freq 11250
22khz OFF
TP Freq 12224
DiSEqC 1.0 PORT 2
Motor OFF
Legacy SW ON

Sat 82 S 0 Q 0
LNB Power ON
Type Standard
Freq 11250
22khz OFF
TP Freq 12224
DiSEqC 1.0 PORT 1
Motor OFF
Legacy SW ON

Unfortunately, I don't have a ladder to access the roof to check the LNBs, but I had the bell install 3 months ago. I changed the settings as you suggested with the exception of Legacy SW ON -- it wanted to know the hardware so I chose SW44 DISH1/DISH2 to access 82.. even tried on every DiSCqC / Legacy SW setting available and I still can't get 82 locked in!

Try picking an sd transponder when checking for alignment or locking on satellite. 428 or 443

The sub'ed receivers work fine in both HD and SD... it's not an alignment issue.

Can you see the back of the LNB's from the ground?

If they have a big DP logo on them, then you have the newer DP single LNB's, and you would not need an SW44 but a DPP44 switch, the Bell recivers are seeing the SW44 switch and saying "Legacy" as the switch type, the Bell guy should have known this and changed out the switch for the correct one.

Look at the photo below, (click on it to make it bigger) do the LNB's look like the two small ones on ether side of the big one?

They have the DP logo you would be looking for.

I was able to spot the dish from the ground; There is a DP logo on the LNB, but only the main double LBN; not 4 like the picture. how should I set my receiver settings with this LNB & switch?
Diseqc Options: None, Toneburst-A, Toneburst-B, Port 1-4
Legacy SW options: None, SW21 (dish 1 or 2), SW42 (dish 1 or 2), SW44 (dish 1 or 2), SW64 (dish 1, 2 or 3)

thanks!

If there is a DP logo on the LNB then the SW44 is the wrong switch.

It should be a DP44, with a power inserter at the #1 subbed receiver.

IF and only IF the switch is a DPP44 (can you go look at it??) then your original settings should work fine. One thing, what type of coax do you have run from the switch to the receiver???

And is there anyway you could get a photo of the LNB's??? This will help greatly.

found the switch, it is a DP44. it does have a power inverter on subb'ed receiver 1. RG6 is the cable used, and the LNB looks like this; I couldn't get a good picture of mine..

retried all my settings, and still NOTHING.... Any reason why 82 doesn't work?

change your freq to 11250 that may be ur issue also i believe 91 should be on diseq port 1 and 82 on port 2 but it may be different depending how the switch is wired try the freq first
