Looking for an inexpensive way to get the one receiver to broadcast to 2 tv sets... understand each set can only watch same programming... can I get it to the 2nd set via coax ?

yes although 2nd tv will not broadcast an hd signal via coax cable and you will have to both watch the same channel....

Looking at pictures of the back panel of various DB receivers (you did not specify which one you have) I don't see any with a coax output. If yours has both HDMI and component/composite outputs, use HDMI for the first TV, and one of the other outputs for the second. You can either run long RCA cables, which are quite bulky, or you can use an inexpensive RF modulator to convert the composite signal to RF and then run a single coax to the second TV. If you're willing to spend a little more, you can get a component to CAT6 balun which will preserve picture quality, but they're almost the same price as a second box...
