unlock xperia sp

got this nice new xperia sp and want to use 2 sim cards in it. Called Fido and was told pay me 50 and we will unlock it for you... not happy any suggestions on getting an unlock code (other than paying for it, Im a cheap scotsman)
Ive googled it and cant seem to find anything but pay sites. tks

what model is the phone? which network it's locked to?

Its the sony xperia sp or model c5306 on the fido network

tks for the help but the offers from that site are not available in Canada. Ive read I need a sim card from another network so have ordered one and I guess I will pay for a unlock code when I find one cheaper than 50. Tks for your help
