Nanosat premium SE 2 with the rocket.
I was on 3.18 - which was not watchable.
Did a S/W upgrade to 3.05 - it was worse if anything - didn't freeze for as long but froze every 20 secs.

So I'm trying to change the factory file to 7.04.
Following the guide for premium SE - I choose 7.04 from the USB option and I get the option for:
S/W Upgrade
S/W +All Data Upgrade
Boot Loader Upgrade

I choose Boot Loader Upgrade and wait for reboot
Then chose 3.05 from the USB option and I get the option for
Boot Loader Upgrade

What am I missing? That looks backwards to me. 3.05 should be the S/W upgrade, and 7.04 the boot loader.
None of the satellites I need are in the list anymore.

Thanks for any help,
Gus

Did you do a Fact default after each load? You have to do this!

If it is like the premium you will only get the s/w upgrade option after you load the 3.05. Once you load the factory file the only option is to load the third party as boot loader upgrade. Once a third party is loaded then you can go s/w upgrade to s/w upgrade.

Not following you on the satellites not being in the list. Once you loaded the factory file you wiped out the setup and channel lists. Unless you saved a list you will have to set your sats back up and rescan.

I thought both files should be loaded as bootloader anyway?

Some cases yes, but when I load a file in boot, sometimes I will reload it and the sw option will appear and I will load it again.

The only stb I've every messed around with that had an actual boot upgrade was my pansat back in 2007. The 2700A came out factory with 6.2 boot then they came out with the 7.5 boot in 2007. Never seen one for cw, sv, cnx, kbox or nanosat. Of coarse they may have came out with one for one of other numerous stb's and I missed it.
