rebooting pw mini after installing 2.51

i am just wondering after installing new file 2.51 why my mini keeps rebooting and another thing is when i went to sat it shows only sat 118,110 anik 3 so many time like triple times in sat section and there is no sat 129!!!!!! So its only me or someone have same problem!!!!!

How to FIX your Units if no video or stuck on boot

Process to restore your unit - fix issues of no video or stuck on boot etc! If you have no video coming due to PAL issues there is an easy fix!

Download any working file like 2.4, 2.3, 2.2 etc (22.33 MB)

extract the zip file and rename the udf file to

pinwheelhdfactory_fw.udf

(note: if you are displaying file extension in Windows, the file will be pinwheelhdfactory_fw.udf and if you are not displaying file extensions in Windows then file will be pinwheelhdfactory_fw)

Take 1 blank USB drive - this drive should have nothing on it, except only one file

Put the file on the root folder of the USB drive

so the USB drive will only have pinwheelhdfactory_fw.udf file

Now unplug the unit from power

Insert the USB drive into any USB port

Hold the Front Power Down and keep holding it

Plug in power to your unit

You will see UPGRD on the front display, release the front power button

This will start the process of restoring the unit

As usual will take long to erase and write

After completing it will display FINSH on the front display

Remove USB Stick and reboot the unit and it should boot into the file without any issues

I would reload the firmware. Have not seen multiple reboots.

Yes you can reload firmware if you get chance but mini doesn't give me a chance to reload!!! Keep rebooting!!!

I wish we have rs232 in back and a loader so if problem like this we can fix via loader thru serial cable!!!!

That's what the USB is for. I like serial connection. It was a simple setup and protocol.

Did you try the USB key and power button method? That's what replaced the serial connection to load up the receiver.

I hate to chime in here but i am in the same boat as of 20 min ago ..was watching 163 ...than all of a sudden reboot appears on screen:noidea: , and constantly reboots to 163 ..flashes 3 times than boot........load....163 appears and reboots again , I did nothing wrong !! . I unplugged it for 10 min and same result . stuck in a boot loop . Gotta head for work now , i will try the fix method when i get home .

I am using the PRO version

I'm going to guess that you may have loaded the wrong bin file, post #5 should solve the problem just make sure about your pinwheel model and load the correct bin.

i am not sure ....the file has been running ok until this morning . i am gonna load 2.4 and see what happens.

I tried, once it says UPGRD, I left the front power button and it shows LOAD but within 20 seconds I get the message 'ERR 1' and it stop loading the file.


I tried 2.2,2.4 and 2.51 files after renaming but no luck.

I have only one file in the usb root drive.

Need help
